What's YOUR most prized handgun?

i guess my most prized handgun would be my stevens 22 tip up pistol. my gpa used to tell me storys about how many skunks he had to trap to buy it. i once saw him rest it on a post and shoot a groundhog at about 50 yrds with it drt. i used it for many years on the trapline and have never had a ftf with it. i dont shoot it much anymore but every time i look at it a remember my granpa and his stories he used to tell me.

probably my EMP, worked over by dawson precision.

although i have an EG mak that's 100%, which is kind of cool.

I don't own anything very rare, collectible or expensive. My favorite of what I actually have (not what I wish I had) would be one of my 3" M65's, a standard and a LS, but I have a PC 3953 LNIB that would probably be more difficult to replace if damaged in your scenario fire, so I'd proabably grab that one.

It just happened to be a rare point in time that I had extra dough for something like this and I've wanted one for a couple of decades.

.454 Casull + extra .45 Colt cylinder. Worth every cent.

Dan

Without question it's my rack numbered RR/Colt 1911-A1. As much for what it is as what it means to me personally.

No picture, but my GP100 Phoenix, which was a gift from the wife.

Mechanically magnificent--great timing, great carry-up, nice barrel cylinder gap, great accuracy, a butter smooth trigger, and a gorgeous high polish blue. The bore is smooth and shoots lead bullets with no leading, too.

None are irreplacable except my 1860's 4-barrel derringer by Sharps. I'd grab one of my 7 1911's, probably the Kimber Compact CDP as it's my carry gun.

I'd go for my Remington Nylon 66 .22lr rifle and a single shot Sheridan pellet gun that my grandfather gave me first. Then I'd throw the case that held my Ruger SP101 (my first handgun), my S&W 642, and my S&W 460V (5" bbl 460/my pride and joy) out my bedroom window as hard as I could.

If they were in separate cases and only one, then the 460V.

The Ruger Single-Six that was given to me by my father-in-law, who has since passed. I'm holding onto it for his namesake, my oldest son. Everything else I have is replaceable.

My grandfather's Colt Series 70 followed closely by my Sig P226 in .40

although its not my priciest, or most collectable, my most prized is the one that goes everywhere with me. shoots like a dream, scary accurate, and has 1000s of rounds thru it with zero issues. its ran like a champ from day one. my Walther PPS....
(ignore the ASP lol)
