What's your "never buy" gun?

GLOCK! or any plastic semi ( but particularly glock, you glock fan boys can have em, it would be like the redheaded step child i could never love), taurus snub revolver, any form of AR except in 338 lapua(and only then if they come down to a reasonable price, like 1k range) plastic revolvers, taurus semis, and probably any 9mm or 380.

I don't think I have any "Never Buy" guns... I do have a few "never buy AGAIN" guns though... An RG10 is one of my never buy agains... A Hi-point (not due to quality or reliability... the gun was a solid performer and more accurate than I thought it would be... the reason I won't buy one again is because they are the UGLIEST pistol I've ever seen.) Also the FEG PA-63 (and similar makarov clones) because of the ergonomics... I can't stand the way that pistol felt in my hand and it was underpowered for my taste.

Glocks

because I can pay somebody to throw empty casings into my face for a lot less money.

The Rhino. So silly looking, if you pointed it at a bad guy he would probably die laughing at it.

Any Taurus. I'm not a gambler.

Beretta NEOS. Ranks close to the Rhino in looking stupid.

Jennings/Bryco/Jimenez. No explanation necessary.

Any 1911 ever again. It's an outdated design, overly complicated and unreliable unless a fortune is spent on professional tuning. I sold my last one to buy a Glock that always works.

Why not Taurus? Taurus revolvers have digested 1000s of 44SPL/44RM, 38SPL/38+P rounds, once I sent to the factory to tighten the 44RM's revolver cylinder release.

I'd now buy Ruger revolvers, btw.

You can put any revolver on that list too.

Any of the newer 16 inch barrelled Thompsons. I mean, what's the point in shooting 45 acp through such a long barrel, not to mention the ridiculous prices on them.

Otherwise, I would never refuse to buy any gun simply based on 'how it looks' or being a 'plastic gun' or whatever. If it functions as it should then why not? I guess I never grew up with the idea that a gun has to be 'pretty' like its a pageant, a dog show or a wedding dress.

Will not be doing the S&W Sigma series again, uncomfortable, inaccurate and leaves you feeling pretty cheap...

Any military-styled rifle, including both the semi-autos and the "sniper" rifles. I don't harbor the requisite fantasies, apparently...

I'd say, in no particular order.
Mini 14
Hi Point
Mil Surp bolts except well done Mausers
Com Block pistols
Jennings, Raven, pot metal in general

Oh yeah, and the Marlin 60. I've had three. None of them have been even remotely reliable. It's been over a decade since any of them have run through 10 consecutive rounds without jamming. Clean, dirty, new ejection system, old system - doesn't matter. Never again.

that has to be sarcasm. i've (thoroughly) cleaned my 60 exactly twice in 10 years and it's the most accurate rifle i own. for a wallyworld special, it beats my scoped 10/22 at putting headshots on squirrels all day long with open sights.

Henry ar-7. Mine went click a lot more than it went bang. Even if it worked it has a light flimsy feel to it. The barrel is just a plastic tube with a thin meta liner. It rattles when its stored inside the stock. Then only redeeming value is that it floatas & with no swing swivels if it gets dropped in a river it will dispose of itself....l

.

My 60 was the biggest POS I've ever owned. I only owned one and no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to cycle more than 3-4 consecutive rounds without some kind of failure. Bought a Henry lever action to replace it and have not looked back.

Even though I have had two, I would never buy a pocket .380 again (LCP or P3AT) they are just not that fun to shoot, therefor they are not a good carry peice... for me, and why else would you own one.
