Good, but unless you want a 10mm or something why not get the original?

My wife inherited a Witness Tactical II in 9mm. This is a compact pistol with a full size 15 round double stack grip size, and a shortened slide and barrel. The slide and barrel have compensator vents cut into the top.

I am a big fan of CZ's, and I was ready to dismiss this gun as a cheap CZ knock-off.

After shooting it, I consider it a very decent CZ knock-off.

The Witness trigger is about the same as a CZ. Cosmetically, I give the nod to the CZ (better finish and more professional looking markings - Witness has those lame looking dot-matrix markings). The Witness grips are a bit nicer than typical CZ. The sights are far superior than the CZ "glow sights" - more securely fitted into the frame and better visibility.

Overall, I'd say this gun is the equal of a CZ and possibly superior in some ways.

I have heard some hairy things about Witness customer service. No personal experience though.

Also, please note, I think the Tactical II is one of the higher end Witness products. I have never handled or shot any of their "base model" guns.
