What's Your Pick for POCKET CARRY??

It's nice to see so many pocket carry because on another nameless site it seems everyone carry's using an IWB holster and are hauling around a full size heavy service pistol and to a man they all claim it's super comfortable....
Sure.
I tried inside the waist carry and frankly hated it.
Anyway, now I will try to answer the original posters question.

I currently pocket carry primarily a LCP in a leather RKBA pocket holster.
I occaisionally carry while working out in a particular park a Kel-Tec P32.
I also carry whenever I am not wearing pants or shorts with more restrictive pockets a Kahr PM9 in either a RKBA leather holster or a much smaller High Noon leather pocket holster.
I positively want no pistol in my pocket with an exposed hammer or safety mechanism.
That rules out some J frames as well as the Sig P238 or 938 and my long ago sold Colt Mustang.
One thing I learned early on is the draw with a J frame was much faster and easier with a J frame because of the shape and length of the pistol handle.
But since J frames are usually at least six inches in length mine had a nasty habit of peeking up it's grip out of my pocket with work slacks.
Got busted by a customer one day at a store.
Between that and the recoil of that Airweight gun and the fact that I was never accurate with it I sold it.
My J frame phase is past.
My LCP and my PM9 and lastly the P32 have all been 100 per cent.
Never stove piped or jammed or failed to fire.
Ever.
The PM9 has close to 750 rounds through it.
LCP about 350 and the little P32 around 225.
Fwiw the LCP weighs 12 ounces fully loaded and the PM9 comes in at 20 ounces fully loaded.
Much heavier than that and you will definitely feel it.

Edit to add.....What Onward Allusion mentioned about the P32 is true.
The recoil is practically non existent and you can really stay on target with the little .32.

Hexhead suggests I use a tuckable holster to return my PF9 to belt-duty on my pizza delivery gig..

.. Yes, I have been wanting to look into that. However, being left-handed, there is little opportunity for me to actually put hands on to do any research. Also, I can only tolerate IWB with the P32, so it might as well ride in the pocket.

Must have big pockets to fit a SR40c in. I have a SR9c and I could not make it fit if I wanted to. Too heavy and big for me.

I did pick up a P938 and it will work better. But, looser pockets help. Not great in all pants.

For many years it was a S&W model 60 with a bobbed hammer, combat grips and a tyler t-grip. Switched to a Ruger LCP for awhile. Also sometimes walk around with a Berretta 950 in .25auto (yep .25 auto). Most of the time now, I carry a Glock 19. But, sometimes gotta just slide something in my packet and go.

LCP but hate shooting it. Anyone looking at the Berretta Pico?

Right here....I'll have one as soon as they are available but I want the .32 ACP option for mine right off the bat. The .380 pocket or Wife's gun will be a Glock 42 already on order. Shot it - Love it. Tried to love the LCP but it just snaps too much.

The Pico is a heart throb for me personally and will take the place of my 96 year old Colt Model M. If it works out and if they ever release it.

supposed to be available 2nd quarter of 2014...we'll see.

North American arms 22 mag sidewinder in pocket holster.

Anything else is too big and heavy for me when i have shorts on or jeans.

I usually carry a .32acp. Beretta 3032 Tomcat. Never had any problems with it. But just to make sure everything works out. I carry a NAA Black Widow in .22mag. 2"BLR. also. Old habits are hard to break! :)

Depending on who you believe it might/could be a problem with polymer frame bonding...they had problems with frames cracking on the Tomcats and although it was not a fatal issue it was not good for Beretta.

I think they wanna make sure they don't go down that road again. But really who knows what the hold up is. All the vids I have seen show it as something I'd really like to try. Especially with the .32 drop in option. I think a polymer framed .32 that is super thin like the Pico and have cool options like colored frames and lasers and all that would be a pretty hot item for some buyers looking for pocket guns.

LCP. Change the springs, install a Sweet Pea Trigger, add the Magguts magazine set and put the $10 Hogue wrap on the grip.
No bite, sweet shooting and deadly accurate out to 15 yards for me.

S&W 340 scandium .357 mag in a desantis nemesis in the right pocket, two speed loaders in the left pocket. CT laser grips. Both the cylinder and the reloads are stoked with 130 grain +p .38 specials, with the exception of a single 158 grain full-house .357 load under the hammer. I figure if I have to tap that fifth shot, recoil recovery won't be a big concern.

I was waiting to look at the Pico, but after a year I gave up and got a P380. Had a Nano that I pocket carried, but was just a little too heavy to suit my taste.

The P380 is a pretty soft shooter and as accurate as you need at pocket pistol range.

I have a couple of 38 spcl j frames which I really like. For grab and go to the store I have been favoring my Smith Bodyguard mostly lately. Has all the features I prefer. I do use a small blackhawk pocket holster. The Bodyguard has a very heavy trigger pull and an external safety. i have put around 500 rounds through it and am entirely satisfied.
