...about a recent trade.

So, I went to Collector's Firearms in Houston about a month ago (shameless plug...GREAT place to wander around, surrounded by gun-porn of the bestest type!). There, I traded them an Arcus 94b (practically new, but the most singularly aggravating pistol to strip I've ever held) and a Flite-King Jam-O-Matic .22 for a Birdshead .45LC six-shooter. Now, my personal love of birdsheads notwithstanding (although it's always nice to find that you got lucky in a trade!), after about a month, I can't seem to find much of anything about this gun, and so I'm hoping somebody 'round here can fill me in.

The particulars:

.45 Long Colt
Case-hardened frame, everything else blued
One-piece grips wood grips, birdshead and nicely checkered
Firing pin on the hammer, not a transfer-bar arrangement
Three-screw

Marked on bottom of barrel "American Arms, Inc. N.K.C.-MO Made in Italy"
Marked on top of barrel "Regulator"
Left of Barrel (from breech end) "S.A.CAL45"
Some small, gibberish stampings on the right side of the frame

Now, while I doubt that I'm sitting on anything worth a heap of gold or anything, I always like to know some general background on my guns, and since I look like keeping this one for a while (I've put about 50 rounds through it, and it was FUNFUNFUN!!!), I thought I'd do some digging.

Well, all the digging I found points that American Arms never did a birdshead in the Regulator. At least nothing I've seen seems to indicate it. :banghead: Am I wrong? If so, anybody know where I might be able to pick up another one of these? Neither gunbroker.com nor auctionarms.com hit when I searched. And I didn't have any luck on searches here, either. I'm about to hit TFL, and see what they have, but this seems kind of obscure for some reason. Why that might be, being a recent Italian repro, I couldn't guess...anyone?

As always, thanks in advance for anything you can tender. :D

Does it look like this?

Most of them that are made in Italy, are made by Uberti.
