The supply of firearms is down and the prices are up, needless to say. If a person wanted to pick up a new pistol and bolt action rifle, how long into the future would be best.

The rifle market is actually pretty soft now, deals on ARs especially.

Unless a (Pro-gun, Pro-economy) gets voted in, then December, just in time for Christmas!![]()
There will be panic buying up until the election, but demand will evaporate the day after, assuming the Democrat (whoever actually runs) loses. If the republican wins, it still will take time for supply to catch up as there will be a run on ammo before that month.
Supply of some firearms is down, but lots of 9MM striker fire guns and AR's. As far as a bolt gun, I see a lot of Savage and Rugers available. Not sure what you are looking for. Mostly synthetic stock, lower end guns but they shoot fine. The supply of firearms is down and the prices are up, needless to say. My Magic 8 Ball is down now.
I would buy when you have $$ and find something you like. Is it worth $50 "savings" to buy it 4 years from now if you really want/need it?
What happens if that company goes out of business or the item gets banned in the meantime?

More like $150 or even $200 in savings if there's a rebate like in past times.
