When was my SW .357 made??

I bought a used Smith model 60 in a 3" last night for $375, and with the help of the 'Buying a used revolver' thread determined that it is in prestine condition.
I am wondering when it was made because it doesn't have a lock on it.

On the bottom of the handle there are also some numbers-21596 do those apply to anything?

According to the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 2nd Edition, your model 60 was made in 1996. The other numbers are probably assembly numbers that only had meaning at the factory while the gun was being assembled.
