The Wife says I'd be cheered up by shopping for a new gun instead of dwelling on the thought of selling any firearms. Look what Santa brought by the house !! A new SAKO TRG and a new 1911 Sig Scorpion Carry.

Well, as some of you might remember from another thread with the same title, I was diagnosed with a serious illness earlier this year. My wife told me we would not consider selling any firearms until my treatment was completed. Your prayers and advice were very important to us at a time when we were overwhelmed with despair. I considered all sorts of options but decided to go with treatment. Some of the experiences of folks on this board helped me build the confidence to seek treatment.

My treatment was completed in August. Through the power of prayer, God has guided the Doctors hands and machines and I have done extremely well. Every prayer counts and I want to express my thanks to you all. The kindness of strangers can make all the difference.

My wife knows me well and thought that ADDING to the collection instead of liquidating would be give me a boost and focus me back on the shooting sports. She was right !! :)

Merry Christmas to all.

In God we Trust.

That's great to hear! Glad you're doing well, and that you've turned another corner in your life for the better. Oh and by the way, I really like your "Get Well" gifts. Take care and enjoy.

Knockdown, you might want to retake those pictures, they are looking a little blurry on my screen :)

I remember reading your original posting, and though I'm young, it certainly gave me a lot to think about. I am very glad to hear you are doing well!

The pictures look perfect on my screen.

Knockdown, I'm really glad you have someone that loves you that much. It makes all the difference when bad time hit.
Good to hear you got the treatments and they helped. Don't spend all your time shooting these new toys now, pay attention to both of the ones that made it possible.

I think the screen was not the issue in the blurred vision... I know what he was talking about... vision kinda blurred here too...

Thank God (literally) that all worked out well for you.... You are indeed blessed.
