For what its worth...

Powder Valley has been limiting primers purchases to 1k per customer per day for the last 2 weeks. $40 plus another $35 in shipping and hazmat doesn't make a lot of sense for those of us that shoot 1k-3k a month. I messaged them on Facebook to ask about this and they responded that they are NOT receiving enough primers right now to increase the limit back to 5k per day. He said they received less than a million primers this month ( I guess that's a low number for them???) and he doesn't anticipate seeing improvement until at least June 2021 so they will continue to limit primers to 1k for the foreseeable future..

That to me means availability will continue to go down and prices will continue to go up for the next 9 months at least. My heart goes out to guys that have to buy loaded ammo right now.

What's the secret password to get primers from PV? I go to their sight daily and every primer listed is OOS/no backorders.

No secret sauce or password. You have to look on all website frequently every day. If they are available, they will only stay that way for 5-10 minutes.

PV had CCI 450s available this morning. 1k per customer per day. Brownells was selling CCI Large Rifle early this morning as well.

Our Bass Pro Shops in San Antonio had a good variety of Hogdon/IMR powders today. Almost better than pre-pandemic levels. I finally got my pound of IMR 3031 I was thinking a loud trying back in February (at least I opted to buy primers instead). Nothing from other manufacturers though. They also didn’t have as many bullets as a few weeks ago or any shot. They somehow sold a lot of shot shell wads too, which surprises me at the prices they’re asking for wads.
