Damn Bass Pro. I go through the entire order process complete to place order and when I click that THEN it says insufficient quantity. Waste of time.
I am about done with Cabelas/BP. They lost two orders of bullets now, made me wait 45min then say come back. I placed orders for more bullets and they showed in stock, charged my card and then hours later say out of stock order canceled. I told the lady last night after the second time of losing my bullets if I have to come back I want a $25 gift card for wasting my time and fuel. She found them real quick after that. Said they were hidden in a box and not on the shelf under my last name. I wonder if someone isnt trying to hide them and wait for the pickup time to expire and then buy them for themselves.

I just got 2k cci bench rest small rifle primers. Went back to get small pistol and gone. cabelas

Brunoshooters currently has a few varieties of large rifle and shotshell primers in stock. Also a fair assortment of powder if you are looking for Longshot, CFE, etc. : https://www.brunoshooters.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=primers
$37.00 HazMat fee ouch! Better spread that out across multiple HazMat items I suppose, while multiple items are available in stock

As a new reloader I'm surprised to see HazMat fees vary so much from vendor to vendor, I guess the higher volume shippers are able to negotiate better base HazMat fees? MidwayUSA charged me $12 one one applicable order I made from them and that's the lowest HazMat fee charge I've noticed (above $0), Midsouth Shooters Supply charged me $16 for an applicable order I made from them. Everything else subject to HazMat fees I've picked up locally thus far.

It does seem somewhat random. Maybe it is just based on what they can get away with or some sort of cost averaging? The HazMat change on a Cabela's order earlier this year was $20.

I have bought a large amount of primers and powder from Brunos, all of which has been in person in their store.
One time when I was there I asked Jason why his HazMat fees were high. He told me that their HazMat fee is the actual fee the shippers charge. The other companies that charge less are subsidizing the balance.

Did you ask him why Brunos doesn't do the same? They are by far the webstore that charges the highest HAZMAT fees that I have seen at more than double what other stores charge.

I checked some of my recent orders for hazmat charges and this is what I found:
midsouth shooters 8/24 $16
brownells 8/21 $19.95
bass pro 8/16 $20
Prior to this I'd arrange a trip with the wife to local larger towns to checkout the thrift stores and restuarants and happen to stop by bass pro and avoid haz mat and shipping cost. That was back in the old days, pre virus.

Reloading Unlimited, which I avoid now unless I absolutely have to is at $28.95 for HazMat and if you buy primers, you also have to buy something else, like powder, brass, or projectiles.

Midways a $11.99, love Midway.

I just got approved for hazmat shipping via fedex and went in to check out what the rates are to ship a package of primers (1K or 5K didn't change the price much 3lbs vs 9lbs). Basically the total cost to ship (fedex didn't itemize it but I created a regular shipment and it was $20 so hazmat upcharge for me seemed to be around $35) was $49 - $55 depending on the weight. Bigger places like Midsouth I'm sure getting better shipping rates, but now that I've seen how this works from the inside, they are not just pocketing extra cash (maybe Fedex or UPS is) but there are big fees associated with shipping these packages properly. Failure to follow DOT regulations could result in a fine of up to 250K. So really not worth the risk for anyone to attempt to ship hazmat stuff without the proper certificates and shipping papers.

Also these packages have to be picked up, they don't let you drop them off. Big places that have Fedex picking things up already won't incur an additional pickup charge. For me it seems to add an extra $5 to the cost.
