Highly recommend Defender Ammunition from down NC way. They have ammo and bust hump to get it to you. Great company.

Have you actually tried to buy some? I got 2k SPP from them a month or so ago, but everything is OOS now. It says "buy online" but if you click it, they're actually OOS.
Update: I received an email this morning saying the CCI #200s were ready for pickup. Still waiting on the SRPs. Also, from previous orders: BR4s and CCI 200s delivered from bass pro this morning. Persistence and patience are key, especially with Bass Pro. I swear them off often, but then I see a deal I can't pass up. Then I try to check out and get the "insufficient stock" message. Swear them off again, rinse and repeat. Sometimes I get lucky.

With MidwayUSA accepting backorders on some items, like some primers, I wouldn't be surprised at all if inventory they may receive already being spoken for in that system beyond any they receive. No hard data, but not an unrealistic possibility. I regularly receive in-stock alerts from AmmoSeek but have yet to actually find any remaining material in stock when I click on the link in the alert.

My most recent online order for Winchester Large Rifle Magnum primers from Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's now has a status of being shipped & in transit with a tracking number assigned. Clicking on that tracking number doesn't get me any helpful additional info so my guess is they're being transported in a truck owned by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's. All the similar orders I've made that have processed to this status have eventually arrived at my designated store for pickup so I'm hopeful this order will be available for me to pick up at my local store late last week.

Cabela's & Bass Pro Shops ATM is showing Hodgdon H4831SC available for online purchase for $31.99 / 1 lb container.

Learned somehting yesterday. MidwayUSA had small pistol primers yesterday. Missed it. Im on email notifications from them. So why no notification? I messed up. You have to click on notifications for all sizes listed. I only had notifications for 1k, not for 5k. Thought this would cover anything listed. Wrong. Apparently no 1k for sale. Looked at my notifications and discovered this. Live and learn.

summersenterprisesllc.com has lots of coated lead ammo if you are looking. 5% off on $150 purchase, so I should be good for a while. Good prices, plus 5% off? Deal. And it didnt say 8 weeks to ship either. Doing a search to look for issues, and found they are on this page for good suppliers.

I believe the in stock product notifications are sent out on a first come first serve basis. At least that is how it was explained to me. They probably sold out before they got to you. No telling how many thousands may have been in front of you

My research says to stay away from lg outdoors.
Considerable amount of unresolved complaints even before the shortage. I put them on my ignore list well before current issues have everyone scrambling. Please do your own research, I've not been scammed by them but at the time of my research I only felt that was the case because I've never given them the opportunity. Others may feel different and only my personal opinion

Both sides of the story and to be fair. LG Outdoors and Wholesale Hunter are sister companies located about 5 miles from me. I purchase all my powder and primers from them in their store. Their powder and primer prices in the store are cheaper than any in-store (BP, Academy, Cabelas, LGS) prices I have found.

Their in store inventory on primers is thin right now but their prices on primers are in the $26-35 per k range. Customer service is also very good. If they don't a powder I want they will order it with no hazmat charge.

they are selling Federal 150 lg pistol primers at $110/k here. https://ammoseek.com/reloading/primers?ikw=Pistol
Doesnt exactly promote goodwill this way.

I was referring the the CCI primer link I posted. I don't order from Cabelas because they are too unreliable during times like now where there is high volume. It seems like whatever software platform they are using form their e-commerce and inventory control just doesn't keep up with the volume. You would think a national chain like Cabelas/Bass Pro Shops would be as prepared as some of the other "high volume" vendors that are much more reliable.

Some of your were expressing frustration with orders that you had placed and I was just curious as to whether they were continuing.

I tried at about 2am. Couldn't successfully get the order in and paid for. I kept getting errors and in the end it stated that it did not have the amount I wanted to purchase. I reduced it down to just one and it didn't even have that in stock. sigh.

And my Cabellas order went kaput again. No surprise.

Was that your CCI primer order from Cabelas? They are a waste of time if you are looking for small pistol or small rifle primers in my opinion. Their system just gets overloaded too easily for a major national chain. However, they still seem to be reliable with lower demand stuff like powder and bullets, etc..

I think the other problem might have something to do with shipping to the store. I have never had an issue when I have purchased items online and had them shipped to my door. If you are a club member FedEx 2-day shipping is free over $50

Brunos Shooter Supply in AZ is a great supplier. They just don't get the hazmat and shipping discounts that the big guys do. However, their prices and inventory during normal times are very good.

As a new reloader here are the items I've successfully ordered online with free ship-to-store from Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's websites over the past 6 weeks that were successfully delivered to my designated store that I now have in my possession.

Winchester WLRM Primers
Federal GM215M Large Rifle Magnum Match Primers
IMR 4831 powder
Winchester WSPM primers
Remington 5.5 primers
Remington 2.5 primers
Remington 1.5 primers
IMR 4227 powder
Winchester 231 powder
CCI BR4 primers
CCI #550 primers

Currently at my designated store ready for me to pick up ordered this way is

Hodgdon CFE Pistol powder

Currently showing in transit to my designated store with a tracking number is

Winchester LRM primers

As mentioned these items not only pop back & forth from those websites showing available for online order vs out of stock, but also appear and disappear completely from these websites unpredictability. When I go back to my notification emails for items I've successfully ordered and click on the item picture for items not appearing at all on these websites later I get a generalerror message when the website opens from that action (this example is the CCI BR4 primers).

https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/69423

I've made multiple orders for a smaller quantity of an item (with no economic penalty to me) in many cases vs trying one order for a larger quantity of an item, and sometimes after failing to have an attempted larger quantity order for an item fully process.

Thus far the only online order I've had canceled from these websites was for Winchester WLRM Primers earlier this week as I previously posted.

Items I purchased from my local Bass Pro Shop shelves I found in store, the last week of July and the first week of August were

H110 powder
Remington 9.5 primers
Federal GM155M primers

No I'm not reselling anything I've purchased.

I wish everyone successful hunting. I wouldn't post up these item availabilities when I encounter them if I wanted to purchase everything when it shows to be available for online purchase for myself.

Don't tell anyone but I'm not a club member and still get the 2-day free shipping over $50 :) Don't want that fixed. :)

Yeah it's not something super secret.:)

I just use the free ship-to-store option to avoid me having to pay HazMat fees on items that would require me to pay those fees if I chose shipping to my doorstep. Plus many of my online orders have been less than $50 before taxes; 1,000 primers have been < $50 before state sales taxes for me on all the ones I've purchased except the CCI BR4's which were $7.39 / 100 pack when I purchased those on August 26.

Edited to add: I wouldn't expect FedEx 2 day shipping service applies to HazMat items unless the address being shipped to is within 2 day FedEx Ground service from wherever the origin shipping point is, but I don't know for sure as I haven't used or tried to use this option for HazMat items. It stands to reason though IMO.

I’m a little unclear on the Bass Pro ship-to-store option. If you have your store chosen and it says Ship-To-Store....Out of Stock, does that mean that even if you find it in stock at another store you can’t have it shipped to your store or if you find an item in stock at another store can you put it in your cart and then have it shipped to your store when you check out?

For me I don't pay attention to whether it's in stock at any particular store. For the items I've purchased all it needed to be is available for online purchase, and free ship-to-store available as an option. When I've made such purchases shipping to an address has also been an option. During checkout the first thing I set is choosing free ship-to-store and designating which store I want it shipped to instead of shipping to an address. I guess it ships from some warehouse maintained by Cabela's & Bass Pro Shops, I don't get any shipping paperwork when I pick up my orders after being notified they've arrived at my designated store. That's all internal to Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops with the orders I've made thus far.

Guess the best thing to do if you're looking at something being available in store inventory at some specific store location and want it shipped to a different store would be to call and see how that might be handled.
