What is this illness? I already have about 12 pounds of powder for my AR15, and yet it's killing me not to order an 8-pounder of BL-C2. Hopefully powders are becoming less scarce and we can go back soon to buying powder when we need it, and not whenever we see it.
We are not quite there yet. I want BL-2C bad in 8 lbs over the same sickness. There is nothing wrong with the H-335 I recently got. The sickness
tells me I really want BL-2C. Sickness it is! Appears to be all but incurable...I hope. Yes, I too am mocked by BL-C2, doggonnit! And I have 4 lbs in my closet! I'm sick I tell ya.
And only 8 more lbs will cure me,,,NOT. Wait until HP-38 reappears I may need hospitalized in a home for the powder seeking befuddled.

Russell, I understand. I was looking at Recobs based on your post and I was sitting there thinking, let's see - 1 8# of H335, 1 8# of BL(C)-2, and what else - 4895??? All to maximize the hazmat, but I just got 16# of H335 last week when PV had some. So, do I really need all this? You'd be ashamed of me - I held off. I DID NOT order it.
I too am holding out for whenever HP-38 or W231 shows up. I WILL NOT contain myself when I see it. And if it's at PV I'll order at least 24-32 pounds as my buddies will want some too.

Yeah, two of my shooting buddies took up reloading in the past year or so. It's been a challenge helping them find powder, particularly pistol. Some days, I look to see what's available and get on the phone as soon as I can with them. One time one of them was taking his sweet time making up his mind and the powder went out of stock while I watched. Since then, we've agreed, first one that sees it orders at least one 8 pounder for each. We have standing "orders" for the preferred pistol powders that will work for us in 9/45 etc... win 231/HP38, Promo/Red Dot, Zip, Unique, Bullseye. I helped one of them get started by "loaning" a pound of W231.
As to the Recobs and the H335/BL(C)-2 - I won't look, I won't look, I won't look! Stop tempting me powder gods!

I'd like to jump on it but the wife has me on a short leash after I finagled 50 bucks out of her account for some AA2015.

This is why I have my play account and the wife and I get an allowance. I save up for components and wife stays nice and happy as long as I don't touch the money for the family.

Ok, I think I've posted enough about rifle powder, and it seems to be sold out at Recobs, at least .223 type powders I usually hoot about. Unless someone requests some and I know where it is, I'm going to be still. I am waiting to get post crazy when pistol powder comes back. I really hope that is soon.
Seems like primers are plentiful, bullets and brass too. When I first started, not all that long ago, I had just bought a 9mm gun and for two months couldnt find factory ammo! When I decided to reload, no anything, brass, bullets, primers, let alone powder. At least we are better than then. Well, except pistol powder and .22LR.

I keep telling myself that I'll find something at a local shop but I'm fooling myself. Next time I'll just bite the bullet, suck up the hazmat fee and buy an 8lb jug!
Its happened with most other components, I keep looking, and one day there it is...I can hardly wait to see return of pistol powder, then the excitement sinks in and its a race to buy before its all gone
