I'm in Indianapolis Indiana. If there is a saiga within an hour drive I'll drive. If I have to buy it online/mail order to the local dealer I'll do so.

Thanks for the help. I've been calling "Bangers" the IN saiga distributor for a while and they never pick up.

Thanks for the link. Doesn't look like they have the 7.62x39 version though. I bookmarked the website incase I decide to pick up a saiga in 12 gauge.

Its not within a hour, but more like two.

But in Jeffersonville, Kieslers usually has Saigas or you may want to try 111 guns. (they are in Jeffersonville too.)

The 16" bbl 7.62x39 Saiga is $700 on gunbroker.

I've seen several people on these forums claim the Saiga's were $300 guns mid last year. Is this doubling due to Obama? I have a hard time believing the largest gun manufacturer can't keep up with demand on a carbine-like rifle.

At the same token I'm a bit shocked at the lack of responses in this thread. I would have thought there would be a ton of places that offered Saiga's.

They were $279 here in May of this year. :what:

Now you can't find one within driving distance.

Try Bradis guns...between Indianapolis and Mooresville on 67. Last time I was there they must have had 10.

ugh... if I could get that price I'd buy 4 of them. 1 for wood, 1 for synthetic or plum, 1 for under-conversion and 1 for side folding.

I know its not exactly what your after but if your just wanting something in the Kalasnikov family there is a Norinco Mak-90 for sale at Acme Sports in Seymour that looks to be in good condition. Im not sure on price but I dont think it was too outrageous.
