Where did all of the people come from?

I really don't think about the "why" people are buying firearms. I just hope they learn...how to shoot, be SAFE, enjoy their range time, and pass it on. We will be better off with more responsible shooters out there.

This is a positive outcome of the increased interest, although it would be nice if it didn't rely upon hysteria.

Likely causes have already been discussed, the majority of them being financial boons among consumers.

It is crazy, I went to a gun shop and waited over an hour to get waited on. I pulled number 36 and they were on number 7
The one scary thing is some of these people wave guns around like a water pistol. I hope all these new gunnies get some training.
