Where does every one go for that.

Private through The High Road?

On line auctions?

Do you have web sights u trust?

Im looking for all. Hand guns...rifle..... Old new.... Any advice is good.

CDNN...Not really online, more of a mail order but terrific prices.

Davidson's Gallery o Guns...includes all taxes and transfer fees (including local FFL) and gives you a list of local FFLs.....The only place on the net where everything id done for you...also gives you a lifetime replacement guarantee.

Bud's, of course; although it irks me that after spending a few thousand bucks there over the years, I am not a "VIP" customer without forking over another 25 dollars. I also don't like that I can't pick up the phone and talk to a human being, but that seems to be the way of the world these days. I still like them.

Whittakers, too, has very good prices and service, but ditto on the lack of communication---have you ever tried to call them on the phone? I usually maintain a phone vigil for several hours using the redial feature. I like them nonetheless.

I've also purchased from Ozark guns, who has fine service and prices. I like them a lot.

AIM is terrific, as is Southern Ohio Guns (SOG).

Armslist? In a sentence: "Let the Buyer Beware"! PayPal does not support firearms transactions, and I'm loathe to send a money order on good faith. I've also noticed a wide difference of opinion between what I would consider a "good bore" compared to the seller's estimation. Like the warning on the website says, it's designed for face-to-face transactions.

I've done face to face transfers from online forums (glock-talk for example), but have found a few good deals on gunbroker, though they are rare. Also, Century arms, aimsurplus are others that are good.

Southern Ohio Guns, but I think they require at least a C&R license to see the prices now. They always shipped fast and products were well packaged.

Thanks guys for your imput. i thought i only NEEDED ONE gun then i would be done........oops. was i wrong. They are just to much fun..........

Have some of you guys who are enthusiasts for certain milsurp categories checked "Joesalter.com"?

He has no #5s right now, but my first Enfield #5 "Jungle" came from there in '09. I found both the descriptions and photos much more thorough and reliable than many listings on Gunbroker.
You might save a little money on GB, but then you might have inadequate photos and won't quite see what you are buying.

Gun shows allow us to not only handle them, but use bore lights and avoid shipping + FFL costs (extra $60-$100).

Davidson's Gun Genie( through my pick of area ffl dealers),the highroad.org, LGSs that include mom and pops, big box, and even Walmart, plus trading at gun shows.

At this point, I buy used guns almost exclusively. Best luck on the forums, including THR, TFL, PAFOA, MIGunowners, RugerForum, etc. For example, by posting a "WTB" on a couple of boards, I found a LNIB 5.5" Ruger Old Army for less than they typically go for at auction. Nice thing about the forums is that you can communicate with a seller, talk on the phone, etc., more easily than you can through the auctions sites.

That said, I've bought through Gunbroker and AuctionArms as well. Having a local FFL that only charges $20 per transfer is a help.

Bud's gets another vote from me. Lay-away is a good thing.

I am watching a few things on Davidson's and have an LGS that can typically beat their non-specials so they'll be on the list soon for me as well.

Online, I have had good luck with

Buds-Lexington, KY (budsgunshop.com)
Centerfire Systems-Versailles, KY (centerfiresystems.com)
Armslist.com (to find stuff)

In person (but some of these sell online too) I have liked

Olde English Outfitters - Tipp City, OH (oeoutfitters.com)
Vance Outdoors - Columbus, OH (vanceoutdoors.com)
Liberty Gun Sales of Ohio - Franklin, OH (libertygunsales.com) - does FFL transfers for $15; I don't know if he sells online
