Stopped my vibratory tumbling on my bench after my yearly lead test elevated enough for State health authorities to give a call.

Went to wet pin tumbling in the garage. Count is lower now.

The state notifies you of high lead levels? I knew the range officer for a local police department and during a routine annual physical his lead levels were up a little. Turns out the air handlers at the range they were shooting at (public range) were not adequate.

At my annual physical I ask my GP to check lead levels. When levels are high, NY Health dept is obliged to be notified.

When they called, I told them I wasn’t eating paint chips. They were glad to nail it down to tumbling and/or range. Changed my tumbling and notified range.

That's pretty interesting that the state gets involved. Yeah, the lead levels in kids is the big rage here in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Just a tad peculiar the state gets involved in your health records. Here my doctor just lets me know.
