I am looking for a good place to get .45ACP, 9x19mm, 9x18mm, and .22LR ammo. It would have to be somewhere online, because all of the local shops don't have good prices on ammo. Local WalMart does not sell ammo at all.

    Good List BlackSnowman

List from BlkSnowman covers most of my sources. One more comes to mind:

AmmoMan was good to me (case of Wolf .45).

I prefer Sportsman's Guide over CTD, though, because shipping is faster, updates are timely, response is quick, and the club discounts are enticing. Plus they're very liberal with the discount coupons. :)

Try: www.outdoormarksman.com They're not too far from you and shipping shouldn't be as much. With that being said; they were still cheaper than buying locally despite having to ship from WY to IL.:D

Buy .22 locally because the shipping makes it three times as much to buy over the net. If you don't mind shooting reloads, Precision Ammunition has good prices. Proload.com and Natchez have the best prices on new ammo for the most part.

I had to buy my Winchester Silver Tip hollow points locally -- ALL the online sites I tried won't sell to my state. Really sucks in this state....:(

My experience is that shipping charges eliminate any savings you get on the purchase price. I now buy all of my ammunition at gun shows and transport it myself. Examples: Case of Remington golden bullet .22 ammo, 12 boxes of 525 rounds: $99. 1000 rds of American Eagle (Federal?) 38 special: ~$130.

You appear to be in LA. Check out

    http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com/gunsched.htm

They have shows in Costa Mesa and Del Mar and other places. I go to the ones in San Francisco to buy all my ammo.

If you go to Walmart outside of LA city limits they generally sell ammo. I buy alot at the store in Duarte off the 210. Also, alot, but not all, online places will not ship within LA city limits.

    Good luck.
