Where to buy pf9?

They were a neat gun back when single stack 9mm's were few and far between. Aren't they supposed to have a 5 or 6000 round life span???

Nothing against kel-tek (I've owned a sub 2k) and shot a friends pf9 a bunch, but I'd opt for an LCP instead.

That being said my single stack of choice has been the bullet proof Shield.

Please, not another PF9 thread. The failure rate of that pistol far exeeds anything that you would care to use to protect anyone including you're worse enemy. Look at the Yankee Marshall's Utube on the subject. He's a character but makes a valid point on this particular gun. Any gun that has a failure rate of anything more than 1 or 2%, you don't want to own. Now somone usually say at this point Glocks have Kabooms, or Glocks fail also. Yes they probablly do, but Glock has 10 million guns on the street and keltec by comparison has 100. So if both companys have 50 failures, "well you do the math", or just use the search feature and you should see enough to disturb you out of this topic.

Throwing around internet gun personalities, you could go nutnfancy who carries a pf9 often because it's been a solidly reliable gun. :)

My personal experience is for the price, it's the best option.

The pf9 set the standard for others to copy. It's what Keltec does, design great guns and then other manufacturers come in an improve it for a cost. As you know because you shot the pf9, I'd never dream of wanting to shoot 5-6000 rounds out of it just because of the missing hand I'd end up with! :)

btw, I had a LCP disassemble it's self while shooting it :

nothing is bullet proof. i watched a fellow shooting his shield said he had 100's of rounds through it never a failure and then next batch of shooting....i watched it jam up. turned out it destroyed it's recoil spring and locked up the slide. a super rare failure. maybe one in a billion who knows.......but all firearms can fail and do. nothing is bullet proof except a mk23 or usp.:)

the shield is superior to the keltec, no question, but costs more. to some a handful of dollars is nothing to others its a bill paid or not. keltec fills a nitch that bryco jennings and the like couldn't.

My PF-9 hasn't been any problem, Has over a 1000 Rounds and carried nearly every day as a stand alone or a pocket back up. Use a little wax on you pistols and they don't rust . I have a CW-9 and it stays in its case. The KT gets carried . Total of 6 KelTecs in family 4 P-32 1 P3AT and the PF-9 These go back 10 years and not 1 has ever had a problem The P-32 's are choice of the ladies in house.

People need to get over the KT bashing Their warranty rate is in line with other company's.

PF9's are fine. They are reliable and the slide's will rust if you don't oil them regularly. That being said the Shields are nice pistols as well.

Either will work fine. If you want a PF9 order one off of Gun Broker and have it sent to your local FFL.
