Hi fellas where could I find the small grip insert for an old Walther p99? Mine came with one in there and I want to find the small one to see if it fits better. Thanks!

Where are you located? Maybe someone local has one you could try.

Wouldn't S&W/Walther parts be the frist place to check with? 1-800-372-6454

If you want to buy one blind, Earl's is the place for all Walther odds and ends you could want. The piece you're looking for is called a backstrap. Their prices tend to be high, but you can find just about anything by calling them.

Go to the walther forum website and post a WTB - someone may be able to hook you up. Earl costs a lot and has a minimum order as well

    D'oh.

I saw this a bit too late. I've got one I would've given you (except now seeing you're out $25, I might've tried to get $12.50 off of ya ). If shipping doesn't eat up the value of returning it, give me a shout. Mine has never been installed, never will be on my gun, and I ain't getting rid of the gun so I don't need the strap.

What a rip off. Earl's provides a service but I bought a back strap from S&W for 10 bucks shipped for my P99...

    Earl's is a joke.

Uh, I think he ordered two from S&W for that price. I gave him the S&W parts order phone number.

Hey fellas, any tips in switching out the grips? Looks like a couple of roll pins?

if you don't have a punch set, just find a drill bit that fits in. Put the drill bit upside down into the hole. Walla! hit with hammer lightly and you are on your way :)

There is talk that the pin in there can get scratched and rust easily. Take care with it
