Where to get 460 bullets- 200g SST's

Ok guys,

I'm a pistol addit, and love to reload em'. Bought the S&W 460 (the 500 looked so alone in the case) but can't find the 200g Hornady SST's.

Have the dies, Starline has the brass, where the heck are those bullets?

Looked at Cabela's, Midway and Natches. Any Ideas?

If you're talking about those pointy bullets with the plastic nose cap, they're not available to handloaders. I use Hornady XTP bullets which obviously won't have as good a ballistic coefficient but work OK for me.

Barnes used to make (the last I looked at Midway it said no backorder on these) some pointed 200 grain bullets for the 460 S&W that shot well for me but were too expensive for me to justify using.
 
IIRC they are muzzle loader bullets intended for a 50 and sabot loads. Might try looking at BP bullets and see if they are listed there......
 
460 S&W Magnum

Suggest that you not use bullets without a cannelure for this gun. I reload using all the abvailable .451 and .452 bullets and prefer the heavier bullets. If you are sighting in a scope for hunting and plan on using ballistic tipped bullets, go buy the complete Hornady rounds (still expensive) and use those for hunting. You can reload any other bullet for about 1/3 the cost. Expensive gun to shoot, but one doesn't shoot this gun all day anyway. I use H110 by the way. Good luck.

Looked at the BP Hornady 200g SST's , they're a 45 cal with a sabot shell.
It looks like the right bullet, it just doesn't give the dia. , but worth a try!

Right now I'm running .454 casull using a 300 g Nosler Partition HG sittin on
29.0g of H110 w/ WSR primers. It shoots well and took a nice 3 pt. at
about 60/70 yards.

A friend has a 460 also and was at our club to sight it in wih factory loads.
What a hoot with the 460 loads, but half the fun is taking game with your
own loads.
