Where to unload take-off stocks

I want to replace my m11 youth stock. It came with a hard plastic butt plate, very uncomfortable. It's now on my 223 m11with a limbsaver slip on recoil pad. Mine are sporter barrels but a heavy profile would give it a generous free float. Pm me details.

He went to gun broker!
Yeah gun broker is crazy right now.
Anyone who has a pile of left over gun parts they dont know what to do with or a truck load of brass you're never going to reload, or sone parts you got and dont have the rest of the gun that it belongs to, sell it. You'll get stupid money for anything right now.

Well, Savage 10 stock went for $103+shipping, Mark II went for $31+shipping, so not a bad little haul for some take offs. Weatherby stock didn't sell and got relisted.

Those sale prices should be enough to get me a Boyd's Spike Camp stock for my Axis, so worked out alright.

A 10/22 stock will move a lot quicker than a Brolin Arms muzzleloader stock.

How's that? They're worth money? An original Ruger stock? I figured they're a dime a dozen. I've got a half-dozen in their original boxes, first thing I do with a 10/22 is to take off the factory stock and replace it with something that free floats the barrel. Doesn't everyone?

Stock 10/22 ....stocks lol, and barrels usually go for 40-60 bucks for a set. I've sold a pile for friends to help them pay for those upgrades.

Again may not be worth a ton, but you list em at 20 and sometimes you'll be surprised what they go for when people start fighting over them.

Won't do me any good on both accounts. All my Savage rifles are left hand and I'm not a big fan of their synthetic stocks.

As you might find out (if you haven't yet), a lot of people ditch the synthetic stocks for wood or laminate stocks.

If you change your mind on the synthetic dislike, I have a left hand stock we could talk about.....

Ya, thats kind of my reasoning. I was pleasantly surprised with what the Savage 10 stock went for, I was expecting to get $50 or less for each of them, but thats more money than I'd have for a stock I'll never use. The Weatherby has a bid this time around so it should sell as well, even if I just get the $20 its at right now, thats more money I wouldn't have had with a useless stock laying around.

Ive had stock grow guns.....that can get expensive.....

Yaaaaa, it's actually probably a good thing the Weatherby is going, considering how often I see Howa 1500 barreled actions pop up. That might have happened with that one.
yep, thats one that spontaneously completed......

Well, eBay life has reared its ugly head. Buyer of the Savage 10 stock requested a return since it supposedly does not fit his rifle. I declined the return, stated unless there was damage or a mistake in the description, I am not at fault and it is not my responsibility to make sure it fits HIS rifle. I've been trying to problem solve it with the guy but he is dead set that I did something wrong and need to take it back. Looks like eBay will get to decide.

Of course he started this AFTER I transfered the money and bought my Boyds stock.

He trying to put a centerfeed stock on a staggered feed, or a top bolt release on a bottom?

All he'll say is that with the screws tightened all the way it is still loose. Screw spacing is right, although it took alot of messages to get that clarified despite the fact he says he's "worked on alot of guns."

Huh, well if the screw spacing is correct, he either has the screws backwards, and is binding his bolt with the front, or his definition of "loose" is different than mine.

Oh, I'd ask for pictures just to see what's going on.

I did, didn't acknowledge me asking for them. I suggested the screws being backwards, I made that mistake on my Choate Tactical when I got it, but he supposedly eliminated that possibility as he "knows what he's doing."

I've had zero Ebay problems in the couple yrs I've sold stuff.
Did buy a TC bbl, kisted as .357 mag, was .35 rem............which I like.
Guy caught his error (listed a few bbls) and told me right after he shipped it.
Told him I could still use it, no prob.

Only bad thing about ebay..............I never get top dollar for my stuff when it's in better shape than other people's.

Ya, this is the biggest problem I've had but not the first.

Sold a Bushnell TRS-25 a couple years ago, guy said the dot was messed up when he got it. I asked him to have someone else look at it because I suspected he had astigmatism but he insisted on sending it back and that there was something wrong with the product itself (unlike this case where the guy just ordered something that didn't fit his rifle, which is on him). Since that would certainly be covered by eBay's MBG and I'd get screwed, I took it back. Got the TRS-25 back, confirmed it was fine, and resold it.

Before that, sold the OEM recoil pad off my Mossberg 500 after replacing it with a Limbsaver. Clearly described what it came off of, Yada Yada. Guy left neutral feedback saying it didn't fit and he had to modify it, though he never contacted me about it. Just shrugged on that one.

I've had prices swing from, "guess that covers my cost" to "there's no way they are actually gonna pay"

I've had a few items come back, but so far it hasn't been super common. One was completely my fault, I miss identified a shotgun stock.

My major issue with ebay, is that they almost always side with the buyer. Again I've had few enough issues, but the ones I have had were almost always buyers remorse, and some semi factitious complaint.
