I've always been interested in getting a .22 that could fire everything from CB caps to .22LR, and eventually I plan on picking one up. I just like playing with different ammo types and finding niches to fill. For me, action type is wide open. I like single shot break-actions, bolt-actions, leverguns, you name it. My only .22lr is a Nylon 66, and I have a Savage 24 in .22WMR/.410. What are your favorites that can shoot shorts, longs, and long rifle, and why?

Marlin XT with the tubular magazine advertizes being able to shoot them all. Most single shots would too. My old Glenfield 25 is supposed to shoot them all, but the magazine fed Marlins don't advertise that. Marlin 39 can shoot them all also. I think the Henry Golden Boys can as well

    Remington 552 Speedmaster.

My father has owned one for about 20 years, and it is a very accurate and surprisingly reliable rifle, provided you keep it relatively clean. It's also a very nice rifle - much more finely finished (at least the pre-Cerberus ones) than comparable rifles from Marlin or Ruger.

Marlin 981 TS -- tubular mag. Got a (cheap?) 4-9x scope on it. hits whatever I shoot at. I am guessing the new XT series triggers are a bit better, but my 981 has been perfect.

Remington Model 12 Pump. Pump 22's are just awesome. Hammerless, tube magazine, peep sights, and I think they are all takedown's. Will shoot shorts, longs, and long rifles.

We use the gauntlet of ammo in our

    Henry H001T
    Henry H001Y
    Henry H001

The all seem to run anything and everything we put in them.

Perhaps one of my favorite rifles that i shoot anything and everthing in. Is my Winchester 62a pump and rossi clone man are these rifles fun to shoot and dead nuts accurate.

have one from russia, single shot bolt action. Not very pretty but works and very accurate. Has no stamping marks, just made in russia.
