It’s still not going to fit in a 308 sized action and if the OP is wanting to go with the bigger framed rifle, 6mm CM is going to walk all over a 6mm ARC.

There is a rebate on the M&P 10 I think.

Have an Armalite AR-10a. Can’t recommend this brand.

    Nice rifle.
How do you like the extended charging handle?
I purchased one ambidextrous for my rifle, but for the AR10 it is harder to pull than with the original one.

I like it. It is a Battle Arms ambi charging handle.

    Cool!
Mine is a CMCG, or something like that.
I went back to the original one after the first range visit with it installed.

BTW, I like the SCAR, just because it is easier to clean, mild recoil for a .308, and lightweight.

I've wondered if Noreen would make a custom 6.5 PRC semi auto based on their 300WM model... Imagine mag dumping 10rds of .264 150gr SMKs on target...

    I have a 16" 308 with a Wilson barrel on Aero upper n lower and a 20" 6mm Creed on PSA.
    I love the two setups.

16" is what I went with. Handier and lighter for hunting, you don't give up much velocity over a 20" and much better if you ever plan on adding a suppressor.

Sold a Remington R25 after putting a bunch of rounds through it, decided it wasn't doing it for me. Still have a Colt 901 which does float my boat. The other main hunting 308 around here would be a Winchester SX-AR. Super accurate but I'd rather shoot the Colt. Haven't delved into 6.5 anything as the old time reloader in me is a hard sell on newfangled calibers.

    With the $100 rebate I think I am going to get a M&P 10.

My son built a Aero in 6.5, it’s been a great gun and is accurate. It’s also heavy.

I did it. Pulled the trigger on a M&P 10. There was the 100 rebate. I cleaned it and put in a different trigger this evening. Seems like a nice rifle.

Geissele. It fit with no issues. Had to take out the ambi bolt release to get the hammer in.

SFAR 16" is what I'm after. I finally have almost enough Cabelas points to buy so I've been checking daily. They notified me by email it was back in stock but by the time I got to the site they were out again.

The 20" was available on the site for almost a week, but the 16" doesn't last long in stock. I'm also thinking it will get a suppressor in time so I want the short barrel. If I was not going to suppress, I'd go with 20" model.

I had one of these rifles and after the scope it just got too heavy for me to be comfortable with. But it sure shot nice...

Lol yeah my redneck SR25 is a bear lol, and it still kicks, hard!! Idk why cause even with M80 ball its thumps quite a bit... My 6.5 PRC with a modest muzzle brake has less recoil lol.

I actually tried to put my LaRue trigger in there first, but it did not install easily. I think if I were willing to remove the safety selector then the LaRue would have gone in. The Geissele trigger unit fit without removing the safety.
