Which Blackhawk???

i couldn't find any cylinder o.d. list on the internet, so decided to pull out my single action crew and measure the cylider o.d. (outside diameter):

and here's the crew:

conclusion: 1.67" is mid-frame, 1.73" is large-frame

I have a 4 5/8" barreled 45 convertible Blackhawk. Mine dates to about 2004 and its the full size frame not the XR3 RED frame.
I shoot way more .45 acp out of it than .45 colt. It shoots the .45 acp very accurately. I would recommend the .45 convertible model.
