What's a good sourse for some inexpensive pistol holsters? Just want to velcro them to my gun cabinet door. I will be slapping my M&P & soon to be purchased Glock 19 & a .22 that I haven't decided on yet.

I'd also like to know what some inexpensive decent carry holsters are. Would just be carried around my home as I can't CCW in NJ.

For inexpensive carry around the house, I'd look for a Fobus or Uncle Mike's Kydex holster; paddle holsters are very convenient to put on and take off. You're not going to get leather for as cheap as kydex; and I've never seen anything in soft/woven nylon/synthetic that was worth a c%@p.

As far as the cabinet-velcro deal, I can't help you; not sure exactly how to envision what you want to do.

As for a source; if you can't find 'em locally, I default to midwayusa.com. Not always the cheapest, but reliable and with quality customer service. Also a good website to shop, which is something I value.

I will simply slap velcro on the back of the holster & the cabinet & mount the holster.

funny thing about a leather holster. my dad has a ruger security six in the holster that came with it? I'm not sure if it came with it but is fit exremely well to the gun and is super high quality. anyways he has had it in that holster for about 20 some odd years now, never oiling it or cleaning it. it wasn't shot a whole lot, just every once and awhile for an opussom or something like that. but to this day to my surprise it doesn't have a spot of rust on it.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!

I have bought old guns solidly rusted shut and stuck to old vintage holsters by the rust.

And I have seen others come out almost like new with just finish wear.

I suppose a lot depends on the tanning process used on the leather, (acidic, salt, etc.) whether or not the owner had "Toxic Sweat" or not, humidity, etc.

Some of the worst rust I have seen was on old handguns that were stored in a leather holster in someones underware drawer for many years.

A new dose of high humidity every time mama did the laundry and put the clothes away still a little damp!
