Which do you keep? Care to share why?

All of them cuz I'd whoop out one of my Alien killing rifles and wipe them all out for even suggesting such a ludacris thing!

Oh gee thanks Evil Twin. Post like yours with that CZ just seem to beg to me. Been looking at those and while not quite a "cheapie" 22 they seem to be one hell of a well made and extremely accurate 22 rifle. Everything I see and read about those rifles is positive, I mean everything, never a negative word. Yours is one sweet example and I like the way you built it up. The sort of rifle you can just hang at the range and relax and shoot all day.

Have a trip planned with the wife next week, then she is going solo to PA for a week but come September she goes to Arizona for 3 weeks. I see an opportunity here. :) Seriously though, she never complains about my gun spending, man, I am leaning towards one of those CZs.

Thanks
Ron

As a kid, my favorite disappear into the wilderness rifle was my 10/22. It's light, handy, very accurate and up until recently, was always reliable. Age and tens of thousands of rounds have taken their toll on the springs. Installing the new Ruger trigger pack solved that problem.

It has a beautiful walnut stock with cleanly cut checkering and it's color only gets richer as the years pass. I cannot imagine a handsomer, better shooting, nicer handling rifle in it's class than my faithful companion of the last four decades.

Ain't no stinkin' alien getting my 10/22

I'd pick my Marlin 39AS I bought new about 20 years ago that I still have. If it was truly my only rifle, I'd get the barrel and magazine trimmed back to make the takedown feature more worthy than just for cleaning. A barrel around 16 to 18 inches instead of 24 would be just about perfect.

Thanks for the kind words... it shoots very well.... I've been very sick over the last two years, but IM shooting in my first competition in 2 years on Wednesday with this rifle... and some of my senior friends.. from my club are not happy.... this gun makes one hole... I use to win every senior league 22 competition in sporter class with this gun, then I got sick... Its all in fun when you are in a senior league... IM looking forward to it... its a six week league every Wednesday then a breakfast and awards..

I'll keep a 10/22 and hand the aliens the wrong end of few 25 round mags. Those little buggers got it coming. Yeah... Phone this home dirtbag:evil:

My Ruger 10-22 LVT. I didn't even know this rifle existed until recently. It isn't even on Rugers website. The barrel is 20" long, no barrel band, and a mid-weight. About 1/2 way between a bull barrel and a sporter. The stock is actually designed for adult humans to hold and shoot. Comes with the same trigger Ruger uses in their target rifles.

Accuracy so far has been right at 1/2" at 50 yards for 5 shots. A pretty good compromise between easy carry and excellent accuracy. Still takes the 25 round magazines if needed too.

Found it, thanks. I didn't scroll down far enough thinking all of the options were on the same page. More dealer exclusives than I realized.

My old Remington single shot bolt action. Shoots BB caps, CB caps, .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle. Model 514 I believe.

Accurate enough for even very small game and has proven to be the proverbial "tank" as far as ruggedness and longevity is concerned. If you want to eat, best you learn how to shoot well since you'll likely get only one shot at supper.

Marlin 60. It is a semi and holds 15 rounds. If one needs to shoot small game to survive, that is the one.

.
Has anyone mentioned a Remington Model 34?

The only .22LR-chambered rifle I own is a nice lil' Miroku repop of the Winchester Model 63, so that'd have to be the one I'd take with me wherever in this scenario. Guess I'll need a sling! Hee.

:)

Marlin 60 for me semi auto 15rds and no mags to cart around , plus its to only on
I have

When the "banic" hit a couple years ago I noticed I had a glaringly obvious deficiency in my weapons selection, no .22lr rifle. The Ruger 10/22 TD had just come out not to long before and had really caught my eye, but they were hot enough that they were selling for MSRP, if you could find one. I was holding off buying one to get a better price, but the rate at which they began to fly off the shelves convinced me to spend a few extra bucks to get it right then. I also got several of the BX25's and 10 regular BX10 mags. I put an EOtech 512 on for sighting duties and have been well pleased with my choice. Light, handy, accurate & FUN, I think one of these ought to be issued at birth to every child born.

Darn aliens ! well,my 10/22 is on semi perminant loan to ny Nephew,he has been over run with squirrils, so I would have to choose between the Henry H0001,or the Savage/Stevens Favorite . Tough call

I used to have a dozen 22 rifles. Sold all but one.

I kept a 2006, Wally-World Special, 10/22, stock out of the box, except for a trigger job, cheap 4x blister pack scope, and a nylon sling.

Marlin 881, first rifle I ever owned, and I shoot it as though its a part of me. I've made shots with that rifle I probably wouldnt ever even attempt with others :)

Would be one of my Savage 24's, because they would have to leave me with a shotgun too.

"...Slim Whitman recording of the Indian love song..."
Mars Attacks :) :p :D

I would keep my 1960s Marlin M39A Mountie (and 1950s all steel all glass Weaver B4 scope).

Plus I'd practice yoodling in falsetto. "When I'm calling you Oo-Oo-oo-....."
More than one arrow in the quiver, more than one weapon in the arsenal.
