I carry mine in a Cargo Pocket .... and the pendulum swing is so true! Other stuff is kinda negated that way, though.

If you carry all the time a lot of those traits disappear. I carry when cutting wood, household chores, feeding stock, horseback, you name it. Most of the time I forget I'm carrying and therefore it's doubtful that I exibit those traits.

A new person who is consious of the fact that he is carrying, nervous about it and doesn't have the proper retention device (holster) will exibit those traits...

Besides...People around you aren't paying attention anyway.

Front pants pocket carry avoids most of that. It can print a bit, though, so I buy my pants loose. baggy.styles preferable. A good pocket holster will print like a wallet, too. But, I mean, being "made" is not a big concern with me if it'a THAT unobvious. Your average citizen isn't looking for guns in public. But, this is why if I'm in a hospital or some other area where I'm not supposed to be carrying and I do not want to be unarmed for some reason, like the walk back to the car in a dark parking lot in a rough part of town, I usually only have a couple of mini revolvers on me. Beats nothing and virtually IMPOSSIBLE to spot even by an LEO. Of course, ankle carry of a slightly larger gun might be an option, but that can be spotted, too, if you're really lookin'.

If you carry all the time a lot of those traits disappear.

Absolutely true.

I pocket carry and carry at 3:30 in either an IWB or tight fitting OWB.
I also wear longer Dickies work shirts... or other fairly common covering garment.
I dont notice my sidearm is there usually...
If its unobtrusive enough for me to forget about, then I doubt most people will be able to make that I am carrying... even if they are trying hard.

I guess all of those "instinctive" traits are from our caveman ancestors, eh?

Sloppy carry habits...nothing more. Training cure almost anything.

This was also posted on GlockTalk, and as someone there pointed out, a good holster and belt will prevent you from displaying most of those give aways.

The only thing I'm guilty of is readjusting my shirt at 4 o'clock to make sure my shirt isn't riding up over the top of my IWB holster... but that's not even on that chart.
