I guess it depends on use: looks, competition, decreasing grip size for reach, ??

I like the top design for all three uses (comes in colors: blue, red, black) ) using cut-to-fit grip tape plus a small rectangle of grip tape at the top rear (border) for the heel of your hand. This also gives you grit options to suit your grip need.

I'm in no position to cast aspersions on anyone for buying something he doesn't need, but it looks like that's what you're doing. So I'll give my purely subjective opinion based on looks alone. I'll agree with Armoredman - no. 2.

I'm buying the grips so my gun is slimmer. Even though the recoil is not bad, ive had a few people (with smaller hands) say that it's too wide.

My first choice was #2.

I'm surprised that only a handful of people only answered the pole with all the CZ owners on the board.

Could be that very few of us use aluminum grips. Usuall on a CZ it's Hakans, Omegas, or Crimson Trace, with some factory grips thrown in. :) Never tried aluminum.

Many USPSA/IPSC competitors use #1 and #2.

Because aluminum is easy to work with, I made a set of slim grips for my 75B because of the CZ Custom shop $85 price.

My trigger finger is short, so my grips fit 'inside' the grip opening at the top and bottom. Trigger reach is the same with or without the grips.

Aluminum does scratch easily. Grit/dust will leave scratches. Mine is used a lot, so looks aren't at the top of my list, but they do look pretty good.

Did anyone experiences any mag release button problem with "Skate Tape" model No.1. Due to the thinner grip, accidental touch to the mag release button during the holster carrying ??

ok. I have had experiance with #1 and #2, both were on guns I bought, and both times I sold them. <which btw, brings the total cost of the gun WAY down. :) >

#1 is very thin. redicuthin. I thought it was nice, but the rubber gribs for CZs are so nice too and I like it to fill my hand, not be like a thin little sliver. It really made a huge difference in feel. It felt like a completly different gun, which frankly I dont think the CZ needs to feel different.

The other thing, is they will scratch and wear a lot more visibly than the rubbers, if you care about that sort of thing. especially around the mag well area.

Of course they preclude you from getting crimson trace, which I do on my carry CZs.

I do NOT think they offer any more "Grippiness" in a real world <IE sweaty> situation. The rubbers had more grip, the aluminum in the areas that were not skate taped, was very slick.

#2. Fixes the grip problem, but.. and listen closely, if you carry your CZ, they will eventually grind your flesh away in a manner not seen since the spanish inquisition.

In a car, with a pair of those on your gun, gun pressing up against your love handles, and the vibration of the car is like putting a Billy Mays Auto Grater on your kidneys :)

So, I gotta say, not a huge fan.

It fixes a problem that wasnt there in the first place, as far as I am concerned. CZs have good grips from the factory.

I have made a lot of cash back buying CZs that have em, and then ditching them tho :)

Yes, what is the purpose of this pistol. If your primary purpose is USPSA competition then it seem Angus likes the skateboard tape versions. These grips cost $85 where are you getting CZ magazines for $21?

I think I would go with #1, the "skateboard tape" texture. #2, the sharp checkering, IMO is much too sharp and looks likely to gouge and abrade a bare hand, and I don't have soft hands. #3 appears to have the "diamond points" flattened and would be tolerable. I am desiring a set of these for my own PCR, which currently has CZ Custom cocobolo wooden grips as I didn't care for the extra bulk added by the palm swell of the original rubbers.

One of my P-01's has the Aluminum grips with Marine Deck tape- its a 3M product you can find in boat supply houses. I like it.
