Whippet

The Whippet that I'm aware of is a "Trade name " gun furnished by H&D Folsom. With no markings it was likely made by Folsom's in house gun company, Crescent Arms. Co. The gun should be checked for Belgium markings on the water table. Folsom would furnish what ever his customers wanted. Unless it is in excellent condition the act of restocking and refinishing it would be a act of love, the value of the firearm would never increase enough to pay for it.

Clyde had a modified shotgun, short barrel and short stock. it had a ring screwed into the flat of the stock and a leather sling that went over his shoulder. where he could carry it concealed under a jacket, but could whip it up in a instant. I think that was his whipit:)
