Don't say red blue culture war stuff besides 2A and Chipman's implications.

I hope the next one is at least an opponent who respects the rule of law. A fair adversary can at least be worthy of respect.

No disrespect intended - and I sincerely mean that - but how can there be a discussion of an ATF appointment without having politics enter into it?
The very topic is political at its core.

I think it can be done by talking about the victory an path to it plus what could happen next. But when words like “Biden's puppet master” are used it becomes political. Anyway that is my 2 cents.

I tend to think that people literally forget their history and what action was taken as a Revolution to establish the 2A (and the other original amendments). Patriots fought and died for that piece of parchment- they gave “everything” - that is what free-minded people do - you have to be willing to give everything - the rest is just noise.
In turn, I could see the fighters/ soldiers of our Revolution standing in a firing line and yelling, “Hey you British soldiers, I’ll bet you didn’t know that we are all members of the NRA!” - then the British Army would surely reply in shaking boots, “OMG! Hell then! We surrender! History tells us in dramatic fashion that freedom costs just a wee bit more than paying dues and talking tough.

It was all Kabuki theater. The Chipman nomination was dead on arrival, and I'm pretty sure the White House knew that going in. Why, then, did they go ahead with it? They needed to do something to placate the antigun fanatics. Now that the antigunners are placated, let's see what happens next.

With a crap load of bad news coming out of the white house. I’m gonna enjoy this one. That guy blows.

The fact that they even considered this moron, shows how stupid and completely inept they are
The people who actually considered him worthy of the post or the people who considered him for the post?
The people who considered him for the job did as they are required. The segment who actually thought he should get the job shouldn't be a shock, since they share similar beliefs.

Hopefully this will start a new trend of denying anti-constitution lobbyists federal appointments.

Don't worry about Chipman, his Dentedness will give him a more prestigious job in the administration with more cash and perks.... In 2024 President Trump will make him the Ambassador to Afghanistan.
