Who among us are totally guns?

Unfortunately, I'm interested in a ton of things. Guns, reloading, guitars and the band, boating and watersports, camping, hiking, etc. Combine that with the family and home commitments and shooting is just something that doesn't happen near as often as I would like. I enjoy the heck out of it, but I don't get out too much.

Not to divert my own thread, but I have a brother-in-law and friend who just recently sold their motorcycles citing really close calls by drivers (of cars) just not paying attention. Also, in my church there is one man in a wheelchair and another who must wear long laced boots (no ankle or foot strength) following motorcycle accidents. I have never ridden one and would like to try it but these stories scare me. Any advice?

Also, I live by one of the better SASS ranges in the country - North Mountain Sportsman. They will be holding the PA state championship competition here next week. I once even purchased a Ruger SA Colt .45 Vaquero with an eye to trying it out. Then I found out you really need a pair of pistols, lever action rifle, and period shotgun to get fully immersed. Just too much money for me. But, I do like to watch - especially with the elaborate set-up at our club.
Motorcycles are a hell of a lot of fun but they are also risky. Most of that risk comes from idiots in cars not paying attention. I rode a Harley for about 12yrs but gave it up 2yrs ago. I couldn't get my wife on it and it was no fun riding by myself.

Guns, Shooting, reloading ? 40+ yrs, hunting, hiking ....scuba DM off shore sailing, biking .... I own land up north and down south just for shooting becausing i purely enjoy shoothing... but there are many things we can all enjoy in this world of ours.

My #1 interest changes from time to time. First it was fishing, then hunting, then my truck, then motorcycles, then dirtbikes. Now it's a mix of my kids and building projects at my house (and the tools that come along with that!).

However, through all of this guns have pretty consistently always been my #2 hobby. Now days I only get to fish and hunt a few times a year, my truck is basically just an appliance, and I've sold both my street bike and dirt bike, but my gun collection continues to grow and it's easy to find a few minutes every weekend to shoot a few rounds in the side yard.

My main interests include: firearms in all phases, including reloading, collecting and research on 'old' smokeless powder cartridges and rifles; Christian Theology and doctrine; Cosmology, including particle physics and astronomy; and reading mystery stories.

The greatest financial outlay comes from collecting older firearms and my ex-wife collection. (Ex-wives are not all that interesting, per se, but they are expensive.) I guess it depends on the distinction between 'hobby' and 'interest'.

My main interests are guns, cars, and Cuban cigars. If you know where to stand, the latter will drop out of the sky and hit you in the head. I have lots of guns, an obscenely fast car and a humidor full of fine cigars. Life is good, I am happy, and thank God I'm not into aircraft, which can get REAL expensive.

For me I would say in this order:

1) Guns - (I could never live somewhere that I could not own a proper gun collection).
2) Weight training/jogging - I spend more time working than anything but work out but guns are still my favorite.
3) Investing - amateur investor/financial guy.
4) Poker - love the game but don't have time to play like I used to.

Unfortunately work takes the most time and energy.

I've been a hunter since I was old enough to do so, and can't honestly remember when I did not shoot. Started shooting .22 with my dad when I was around 5 yo. So, I've always been around firearms. My hobby for over 20 years was snowmobiling. We were in deep, new sleds every couple years, enclosed trailer, lots of fun. I also had a Jeep for 12 years and off and on that became a hobby. The kids got older, and priorities changed and so did the hobbies. Over all the years I took time to go hunting every fall, and over time acquired a couple firearms. Back about 6-8 years ago I started reloading and that was the slippery slope. :) Firearm purchases picked up, joined the local range club. I now try to shoot at least weekly, and reload all my own ammo for everything except .22 LR. Not sure at this point if the hobby is reloading or shooting, but I don't care either.

I have lots of interests. Golf, basketball, softball, hunting, shooting, guns but VERY limited on time between work, wife, kids, and church. Guns have become my primary interest since they technically take the least time (shooting them not included). Unfortunately have extreme shortage of time.

The order of my hobbies and interests fluctuate a little but currently my top tier interests are playing guitar and guns. I also like cars, planes, boating, water skiing, fishing, reading, history, astronomy and nature.... I notice there seem to be a lot of car and airplane guys on here... It's interesting to hear all the things everybody is into besides guns... Good idea Hokkmike...
