Who has a new rollmark Colt 1911 Series 70?

    Here is a pic of mine. I like it quite a bit, but I prefer to shoot my NRM series 80 blued Colt, which was considerably less money.

    Has your ever jammed? How many rounds through it?

    It has never jammed, but I've only put about 200 rnds thru it. Like I said, I usually shoot one of my other 1911's.

    Gonna read the review now. I already read the series 80 review and it was very interesting. Do you know how much heavier the stainless series 70 is than the blued?

    It's been my experience that stainless guns are always heavier. That's good news to hear, though I may go with the blued anyways...

    Do the new 1911's have any stipling or roughness to the front and back of the magwell? I can't really tell from any of the pictures I've seen. Gonna see if they have any in at the gunshop. I thought I saw one last time I was there, but I can't remember.
