I've been looking everywhere for some Hodgdon 4198 Powder to use in some .218 Mashburn Bee hand loads. Anyone have a clue?

You should be able to find that somewhere. I would try locally FWIW.

Along with the Hodgdon offering of 4198 you can try and find IMR4198. Both are very close in performance and load data.

A good powder I would try if I couldn't find 4198 is AA1680. If you can find them maybe RL-7 or IMR4227 will do a good job depending on the bullet weight. At least with 5 powders you have a better chance of finding 1 of them. It seems Alliant Power Pro 300-MP is slower than any of the other magnum handgun powders so maybe that can be used too... Lil'Gun, W296/H110 maybe?? Too fast maybe??

Hodgdon lists data for the 218 Bee with W296/H110, Lil'Gun, 4227 and 4198. I know the Mashburn Bee is different but not all that different.

Scheels in Reno had some today. Wish you were closer. By the way, that is a beautiful Bee you got there. I have a Winnie 43 in 218 Bee that I love.
