Just a suggestion

Have you checked out the heavy-duty tool bags at the Home Depot? I got a great bag for $30 that's a lot better quality than the typical soft-sided nylon construction range bags.

As VictorLouis suggested, Home Depot has been running a sale on their McGuire-Nicholas toolbags. As a matter of fact, they've got one model that includes a 14" or maybe 16" bag with two smaller bags included. These bags seem to be pretty tough and they've got TONS of little pockets and holder loops, both inside and out. They've been on sale for $14.95 for all three.

I've also got one of the BIG fancy jobs and mostly, it's a pain in the ???? to haul around, especially when it's full of ammo, guns, ear-muffs, targets, cleaning gear, etc. I've discovered the smaller, but specialized bags (one for ammo, one for guns, etc.), are easier to manage over the long haul (IMHO). Cheaper, too.
