Are there any online companies out there that are still accepting backorder primers at this point?

If Sterling VA isn't too far from north Wilkes, NC both the gun stores there have primers in most sizes. I just bought 2k wlp primers for 33$/k
They also had most any caliber ammo for the same prices as before, the only thing I seen inflated was 5.7 for 45 a box.lol I asked how many they wanted to buy for that.
handguns were a different story, neither store had hardly any guns, one has even removed the whole gun rack and is just keeping what few guns they have in the counter with the Scopes and lights.
    22 ammo was completely nonexistent.

If you're in this part of the Midwest (St. Louis area), I know The Gun Shoppe in Highland, Illinois has a backorder list. No idea when they'll get them, but I'm on it for some CCI small rifle. Check your local gun shops. They won't have nearly as many people on their lists as the online places.

Midsouth shooters supply is taking orders. $25.69 per 1000. No telling when your order will get filled though. They have an expected date of 4/9/13 on CCI 500 spp, but I doubt that date will hold. That being said, at least you can get in line. Good luck.

I'm not sure if I've posted this here or not. I've scored three cases of primers in the last week or so by using a new beta program at gunbot.net, and I've paid about the same prices that were prevailing before all this blew up ($20-30 per 1000, depending on brand). They have some gougers on there for sure ($60 per 1000 for stuff that was $20 per 1000 just a few weeks ago). But they also have some legit dealers like Midway, Wideners, Sinclair, Natchez, etc.

The site is still under construction and the only reloading component it keeps track of is primers right now. It also tracks ammo and magazines. I set it to make an audible Ding when something new pops up. On the primers I got, I was sitting at the computer doing something else when it dinged. It links you directly to the appropriate page on the vendor's site. In all three purchases I made, the vendor was sold out within five minutes (two were from Midway and one was at Natchez). Gunbot is running in the background right now as I type.

The only problem is that you can't put several items together to save on hazmat fees since the vendor involved probably doesn't have any other incendiaries in stock. And if I had poked around long enough to see if they had any, the primers would have been gone. So figure on adding around $27.50 to the cost of any primers you order. I ordered a case (5000) each time just to spread the fee out.

UPDATE: I noticed just now that they have made some changes in the last hour. They now require you to create an account and sign in. It says they are trying to limit their bandwidth. And on ammo, you need to set a price threshold - it will only ding for deals below that price.

    Hope this helps.
