I left the store pissed off.

I've left a UPS store or Hub in the same condition more than a few times. I'll avoid using UPS if I can.

Hard for that not be offensive, but thanks for the assurance that it's "not meant to be [racist]" -- since Hinduism isn't a race. Sheesh.

(Try substituting in there Buddhist, Jewish, Presbyterian, or Catholic, or Atheist for that matter, to see why it might raise hackles.)

It is, as mentioned previously, CORPORATE policy that UPS accepts firearms for shipment at hubs, and not at UPS "stores".
Every once in a while you'll find an unknowing UPS store clerk who will accept one, but it violates company rules & regs.

As for "machined parts"? You risk non-payment in case of loss at the least, and it's a foolish game to play.

I would jump right on your act of contrition to satisfy your request but two reasons hinder my willingness do to do:

1) I don't understand why you just didn't forgive me? I am deeply saddened you did not accept my humble request for forgiveness dear sir and I only ask that you look deep into your sole for that kind place which will forgive me.

2) You can post your contrition information if you wish but I will not click on your link as it might be a virus that will take over my computer and send subliminal messages to me attempting to make me a cold hearted non-forgiver. On second thought, you can keep your contrition info, no hard feelings counselor, dear sir, admirable one.

I was being entirely facetious. Somehow, I don't think you really do "contrite." I'd tell you the nature of my reasons for being less than immediately forgiving, but you might go off on a tangent. Or pee yourself.

The next time I have Dover sole, you'll forgive me if I don't look too deeply into its soulful eyes and ask for forgiveness before I turn it into fillets.

At any rate, I'm glad that you managed to take care of your business without any more problematic circumstances. Nonetheless, the 5 miles of jogging was undoubtedly good for you.
