Who is the maker of the Lyman Revolvers? Is Lyman still around? Does anyone have one of these revolvers? How is the quality, would you buy another one?

LYMAN??? They are one of the major manufacturers of reloading and bullet casting equipment. I don't own a LYMAN revolver but I do own one of their early PLAINS RIFLES and all of my centerfire reloading equipment is from Lyman. Don't be shy about purchasing any of their products. They have been around for over 100 years first as "IDEAL", then LYMAN.If I saw one of their revolvers in good condition and the price was right, I'd snap it up. Of course this is just my opinion.

I have one of their 1858 remmys, its a Uberti they also had some of their guns made by Armi San Marco, mine is easily my favorite of my replica 1858s (23 of em) its very well made and small details like the hatching on the hammer spur etc... all perfect, if ya need parts ya will be SOL as the current Uberti parts don't fot nor do pietta, I broke the loading lever and ended up having to modify a current Uberti one to fit

this pics the Lyman by Uberti 1971 manufacture

this pic is of an Armi San Marco also 1971, they are like night and day the Uberti is very high quality materials, fit/finish is better, the Lyman/Uberti is just simply 10 times better than the ASM so it will depend on exactly who made your Lyman
