Could some people put up some pictures of cz97s in their hands? I have yet to find one around here to handle, but if I could see some 97s in peoples' hands to get an idea of how big the frame really is, then maybe I can figure out if it's even worth pursuing, or if I can know right off the bat it's just too big.

burnse,

I hope this helps. From the tip of my little finger, to the tip of my thumb, with my fingers spread as far apart as possible, spans 9.5". My hands are medium+. The 97, with Hogue rubber finger groove grips, fits my hand perfectly.

The 97 grip is slightly wider than the CZ-75, however it is longer front to backstrap. Incidently, my 97 is one of my all time favorite range .45's, this one is fast approaching 4,500 rounds down the tube.

Afraid I don't have any help with pics. But, I have an alternative. The large frame EAA Witness guns (10mm, 45 ACP) feel very similar. A range buddy has a 97B, and he and I often comment on how very similar his gun and mine (10mm Witness) fit our hands.

Not sure you will have any better luch finding a Witness, but doubles the odds. While not exactly the same, I think handling a Witness would get you closer than seeing 97b in someones hand.

well, jeez, if thin grips are available, I'm probably sold on it anyhow. Who makes the thin grips?
