    Hi,

I've searched high and low for an offside shoulder holster strap like the one in the picture below and I've come up dry.

I'm talking about the white cloth strap, not the leather yoke.

If anybody knows a place that sells them, please pass the info on to me.

    Thanks fellas.[IMG]

That's one of Rusty's. I'd recognize his work anywhere.

I have one for my Colt D frame guns.

It's simply the best shoulder holster out there for revolvers, and he's the only guy I know still making it.

If you wanted that same holster made for an automatic, sorry. Revolvers only. He makes a more traditional design for automatics, but it's still quite nice.

The description says it's a Bianchi 9R-1. And that's what the imprint on the leather says.

I've been looking at Rusty's version of this and it is beautiful. To buy one of Rusty's, I'm gonna have to wait for my tax return and I haven't even filed yet.

Or maybe I can find a Bianchi like this one which I can afford right now.

    It doesn't matter though.

Right now I'm looking to pick up a white elastic strap like the one in the picture for another shoulder holster.

    Any ideas on that?

    Thanks.

Hmmm, that's an old Bianchi piece then, because they haven't made that clamshell design in a long time. It's a very labor-intense design to make.

If all you want is the cloth strap, try Jo Ann Fabrics or a similar fabrics/textiles store.

I replaced the strap on my Bianchi 9R. Webbing, snap, and buckle all available at craft/fabric store. A little sewing and you have a new one.

The design of the 9R is basically the old Berns-Martin breakfront. Bianchi also made a uniform duty holster with the same design and an improved versions called the Judge back in the 70s. I have all 3.

Most fabric and sewing stores sell white nylon belt strap material, from which you can make your own easily.

You'll need 5/8" to 3/4" strap material and a plastic slide buckle similar to the buckles used on most nylon packs and bags. Most sewing stores also sell these.

Assemble using hardware rivets. Use a red hot nail to burn the rivet holes through the nylon to prevent fraying, then rivet.

OR, have most any good shoe shop assemble your components for you.
