Why a Glock 22 over a Glock 17?

ehhh whatever not even worth it. I have earned my respect and don't mind someone who's not worth it making comments. haha Like i said if i want a bigger caliber i'll go to my 45 or 357 mag.

Why are there these stupid 9mm vs .40 threads everyday. If one wants to know the difference go rent both and shoot them and make your decision. If you feel the .40 is too snappy, dont buy one...enough said

It's just not the uncontrollable beast that some folks make it out to be.

I don't remember seeing anyone say that.
Don't read everything so literally.
Obviously no one actually stated the words "uncontrollable beast"....but it's obvious from some of the remarks that some folks would like to give the impression that the .40 is harsh in recoil, which it's not.

It is snappier and not nearly as pleasant to shoot as 9mm or .45. With nothing more to offer beyond that, I steer clear of the .40 "small and weak".
I find the G22 just as "pleasant" and fun to shoot as the G17....there's just not that big of a difference in felt recoil....especially if you're shooting some hot 9mm+P ammo from the G17.

Enter the .40S&W....the most perfect compromise invented thus far

Or the most useless one, depending on your opinion.
Now be serious.....anyone who thinks the .40 is "useless" is just crazy.

Practice makes perfect and if you spend the range time with the Glock 22 you will be just as accurate with a more potent round.

Sadly though predictable, what is essentially another caliber debate goes to the usual lock due to the usual reason: Rude comments dragging the thread below THR standards and putting the smart aleck comments' author in real jeopardy of being banned.
