I'd wanted a Bushnell Haste foregrip laser since I first learned of them. Finally found one the other day in a Bushnell outlet for $99 and replaced an MLOK foregrip on an AR pistol with it and removed the cheap laser I had top-mounted on the pistol. Which has left me wondering; the Haste was discontinued and I can't figure out why...the feel of the foregrip is just as good as the MLOK and the laser, through red, is visible in daylight out to the 20 yards I tried it. What was wrong with the Haste? Was it simply too expensive (around $199) for its market? I read the reviews and they complain the "on" button was too easy to push and leave on. Yes, it is easy, but I can easily see the laser on as I put it up. What was wrong with it?

One listing that remains for those who haven't seen one.....

Beyond just learning if its existence I’d say price point and Bushnell’s lean share of the AR market. Until recently I thought of Big B in terms of blister pack scopes or high end offerings with little in between.

That changed when a fellow member recommended taking a second look and I bought one. That became 4, at half what I was paying for Leupolds, and honestly they’re a stand out value in my opinion but I too look past them when it comes to AR accessories.

Interesting concept, I'd say price point is probably what did it in. Also, kind of like Skylerbone I really don't immediately think of Bushnell when it comes to AR accessories. Their AR Optics line is fine for a budget AR scope (at least in my experience) but the budget aspect is their big selling point and the Haste doesn't really fit that for what it is.

Lasers on rifles tend to be an extremely limited gimmick, so nobody’s version enjoys massive market appeal.

All the majors scramble constantly to keep up with an ever-changing market. I've purchased several Bushnell scopes in the last 5-6 years, mainly because I live near a Bushnell Outlet store and get really goods deals. More than once I've been disappointed when I've tried to buy a scope I like only to learn that they do not make the scope anymore; probably because I'm buying close-out models. Bushnell changes a LOT. I've recently started buying Tract scopes. They do not do that and their products are top-notch. Looks like I'm buying 2 or 3 new rifles this year and will be in the market for a couple of new scopes. (If I can get other guns sold!!:)

As with the above, less-than best marketing.
If you don't know about a product, it hard to decide if you want one.

And, that price is a bit steep for an angled foregrip with a laser.

And, the utility of a laser on a rifle is going to be questioned no end.
On a PCC build, probably less so.
