Why do you need more than 10 round mags?

Well being the police, fired 200 plus rounds and succeeded in only wounding a suspect in Boston, it should clearly show why 7-10 rounds may not be enough. With the newscaster saying those highly trained officers never miss, he will surely be dead, he still was not.
this should make people understand that it doesn't matter how many bullets you have, it's how many hit the target. If under ideal conditions with the bad guy outnumbered 200 to 1 they still didn't hit him in a critical spot, enough to stop him, that should explain why we have, and need Hi capacity magazines.

We need to convey that message to Joe Biden, who says that firing two shotgun blasts AT NOTHING will resolve any issue... :uhoh:

Lately, around here anyway, it seems the bad guys run in packs of 2 or 3. If I'm attacked by 3 BG's and all iI have is my 5-shot .38, I might come up short. That being said, many days I leave home with only the 38 & 1 speed load. It's usually a work day and i don't feel under gunned at all. However, if I'm going out and don't expect to be home before dark, I'll be carrying at least 24 rds of 9.

The NYPD discharge report summarizes it VERY nicely. That link is very strong. I've used that same report to support my side in the capacity debate on multiple occasions since I read it. When presented correctly, it's an easy win.

"Need" is not a word in the American language. This is America, its not about what we need, its about what we want and are willing to work for!:cuss:

While I will say I agree with others in that I don't need justification for my rights, I will say this. Many of the people trying to make laws don't understand how people in the rest of the country actually live. I'm sure they would feel comfortable with only a double barrel shotgun knowing they have personal armed security and a cop on every corner (at least). They have become too separated from reality to realize that this does not describe everyone's situation. I live in a very large and rural county that is covered by only a handful of deputies at night. It is a very real possibility that if you need an officer to respond to a home invasion a good response would be 30 minutes. It is more often 45, and if there happens to be a situation on the other side of the county requiring several officers, you may be on your own for an hour or more. Considering more and more of these break-ins involve multiple parties, and that we're in one of the country's meth capitals, I don't need some idiot telling me to "fire two blasts into the air." It should serve as a reminder also to those who feel it's a civilian's duty to retreat, that out on the street, with an opportunity to run, is not the only place attacks happen.

When I see his SS detail with O/U's instead of the usual arsenal of guns I'll believe him.
