As I get older I find myself less and less wanting the cell phone with me. Mostly still carry it though.

As I have begun to travel by air more and more, I find myself stuffing my laptop bag with great stuff....pens, business cards, money, change, Airborne, Advil, tissues, Theraflu, gum, name badges, glasses, tape..... I realized something the other night...It's a purse now. You're on to something ladies.

But I digress... frequent flying has taken my knife out of EDC. I've lost too many as I forget to remove them before getting to the airport.

I've carried my challenge coin every day since September of 2002, when I made Chief. I've never been without it for a single day. Never really been in a situation where it was ever called for, though.

    :)

I don't worry about where to put non-tactical stuff. I've been carrying non-tactical stuff since I was a wee lad. All that stuff has it's own, logical place in my pockets. When I need to carry something new...it likewise goes where it seems logical. Like I've said elsewhere...this ain't rocket science!

    ;)

I'm an outside salesman and work on the road most of the day generally helping people diagnose sick engines, sometimes having to switch vehicles during the day. So my EDC is fairly extensive and gets used hard & frequently. No gun during my 50+ hour work week since schools and government buildings are frequent destinations.

A 3x5" index card "pocket briefcase" and 2 Jetstream pens, along with my business card holder (a re-purposed eyeglass cloth case doing double duty) and iPhone 6 Plus are proably my most used pocket gear. But my Surefire EB1 flashlight & Benchmade mini-grip aren't far behind. A mini SAK, mostly for the toothpick & scissors, wallet, bandana, pack of Eclipse gum and pocket change round out the gear that fills my pockets. It all gets used frequently during my workday and my afterhours/weekend gear is the same, minus the pocket briefcase and one Jetstream pen and the addition of a pocket carry Ruger KLCR.

I also carry a "murse" with my daily meds, iPad, hotspot and other needed stuff I use throughout the day, plus a computer case/briefcase as I need the gear to do my job and my office travels with me. Not to even begin to mention the toolbag, jump box sales literature, reference material and other gear that travels in my work truck.

:D Good eye. Yes it is. Just happened to be given a few that day at work & decided to jam one in the molle webbing...right between the medical gloves & pens. Because you never know when you'll have to glove-up to assist & curb your hunger at the same time :neener:

Also great way to make canine friends when I take my dog to the dog park

Wow, I feel so inadequate. Can't carry at work, hate having anything in my pockets...just money clip, small wallet, & cell phone. Keys clip to belt loop, change gets thrown in truck console; where my knife, flashlight, mints, leatherman, & lip balm reside.

I like to be prepared for everyday stuff

which is why I always carry a knife and lighter in addition to my 1911 and two spare mags, wallet, keys and, cell phone. That is about all I can comfortably carry. A flashlight is usually close to hand but not on me. I occasionally carry a spare gun in a jacket pocket if it is convenient, right now it is a Colt Mustang 380. I would like to carry a decent sized fixed blade but haven't been able to figure out how to do so, comfortably. A friend of mine used to take a tool box with us on long trips and I would carry things like a hand saw and power drill/screwdriver along with an assortment of screws. The box full of mechanic tools came in real handy when my alternator went on the way back from one of those trips and you wouldn't believe how may times I would say, "I can fix that" because of what I had with me. It is not always about being tacticool.

Money clip, card wallet, gun and spare mag, knife(mini Griptilian). If it's afternoon when I leave I'll add a flashlight.

Amazingly pointed scissors with under four inch blades are legal.

I use a leatherman PS for airport carry. One challenge with it is that I get stopped 100% of the time for an extra look. If Im in a hurry Im screwed.

i try to carry as little as possible
    Normally I carry:

kahr cm9, sticky holster, 8 round mag
    phone
slim wallet/money clip - only carry ID, ATM, personal card, work card, work key card, health insurance card
keys - only carry car keys to keep keychain light
    kershaw leek knife
leather money belt to keep emergency cash

I use my knife a ton. I probably buy too much from amazon and am constantly opening boxes. I could carry more if I used my back pockets, but keep everything in my front pockets.

I carried one everyday while I was attending military school. The wallet I had at time had a dedicated pocket for one. It was ACU camo and that was a little too moto for me. Bit of a bummer I will be getting out of the Army in a few months and my highest ranking coin is from a Navy guy :p

Pocket arraignment isn't really rocket science, but it is interesting to see how other people have things setup to try arraignments I haven't tried before. For example I carry my spare mag in a Desantis Mag packer in my support side front pocket. The pepper spray I carry is a small canister of Sabre Red with a belt clip, it attaches right to the vertical standing edge of the Mag Packer in the same pocket. Someone here might try that arraignment, and may or may not work for them the same way it does for me.

For about 15 years I carried my keys in my support side pocket. Which didn't make sense because I am not left handed. Didn't think about it but stuck with it so long out of stubborn habit. I also used to carry my flashlight on my belt in a holder. Combined with a Leatherman in a pouch and a spare magazine in another, all on one side, felt awkward A few more EDC videos later I got a smaller flashlight to go in a pocket and the Mag Packer.

COUNT, your EDC looks identical to mine, down to the Pack. I like that Ka-Bar as it goes without being seen by most because of the size and ability to stay on the upper leg instead of hanging down or sticking out, my biggest problem is fitting a wallet in it, "the zippered compartment" as it is not standard size.
    But an excellent choice.
By the way, those cheapo fold up plastic knives that they sell for a dollar, or sometimes give away online or at gun shows, are razor sharp, "as long as you don't use them often, and fit in a credit card slot. But in an emergency you could easily use it to defend yourself or cut through just about anything a decent folder would.
Just don't plan on it lasting for more than a few uses. Don't forget about your eyeglasses, I use one of those sports straps so they stay on the body.

it does tend to drive me insane when guys carry 3 knives, 2 guns,an IFAK, cell phone, Ipad and back up cell.

but then they break out their backpack or briefcase and carry more crap. then in their trunk they have BoB and an AK with folding stock for SHTF while at work.

i carry a gun, my e-cig, a knife, keys, wallet and phone. and it drives me insane to have all that on me. oh and i have a challenge coin in my wallet

Considering how much gear it takes some of you to go to the mailbox I'd love to see a 2 week camping trip.

I just posted what I have sitting at my desk while on THR. Going to the mailbox I take my AR. Camping trip I take an Abrams tank. If I go out of state, my wife flies an Apache.

Sidearm, keys (small flashlight on keys), wallet, cane, and a pathetic folding knife.

Arkansas has really been going places with firearm friendly legislation lately, but an unrestricted length on knife blades has been turned into a joke with less than a 3 in. blade only legal now.

All my carry knives were deemed illegal overnight. Pathetic.

Makes sense huh? Legal to EDC a gun, but not a knife.
