WHY you need "eye's" at all times

Common sense is common anymore. Anyhow I got hit in the eye with tape while breaking down boxs at work Thursday. No damage done. Also considering wearing a pair of safety glasses while driving. One never knows.
There are several kinds of glasses for driving. If we can afford to buy a vehicle,we can afford quality glasses. The Magic word is Effort. Making an effort to learn what's available and their best use isn't as easy as coming up with excuses why we don't know.... but to each their own.:D

If my eyes keep going south ill have a pair of glasses in a year or two. And they will be poly with anti reflect coating. Company I worked for making glasses gave a coupon for $250.00 toward glasses or eye Dr. Wish I would have gotten some awesome shooting glasses. Sold the coupon for $75.00. To be young and broke.

Yep, I feel ya'. I use everything from .5 to 3.00 strength readers, depending on what I'm doing. I always thought somebody would've killed me before I got this old!

Oh man I full understand that. Figured I would be in the ground by my 20s. And here I am knocking on 40.

I have a particular load of 357 ammo that I used a bullet on that I shouldn't have. It shaves just a bit of lead, but shoots very accurately. Unfortunately a max load of H110 sends that metal shaving back at you on occasion. I have twice had my earlobe cut bad enough that I had to stop shooting and clean up the blood. Yes, wear your eyes and ears.

For a long time I considered my daily wear spectacles (impact resistant lenses) as adequate on the range. Then last year my 1911 popped a shell right into one of the lenses. The glasses held just fine, but the casing left a tiny nick right in my line of sight - very annoying. I searched for shooting glasses to wear over my eyeglasses, both over the counter at big box, gun stores, and online; none worked. Out of desperation I sought advice on THR. Several members pointed me toward OTG (Over The Glasses) safety glasses. perfect solution!. Decent products are available online for under $20, with choices of lens color. I now have clear and yellow lens units in my range bag, and always use them when shooting.
Thanks to the collective THR wisdom!
