I actually make and reload a few obsolete numbers...

The .256 Newton above is the predecessor to the more modern 6.5-06. I make my own 6.5-06 brass from reformed RWS 7x64 Brenneke brass.

Here's a 6.5-06 round, along with a hard drive that was centerpunched by the same load at 100 yards. Note how clean the hole is:

I also make 7.62x45 Czech VZ-52 rifle ammo from .220 Swift/6.5 Carcano/6.5x54 Mannlicher brass. My website goes into details, but here's a fuzzy pic of the .220 Swift to 7.62x45 case forming process:

I also reload for the 6.5x53R Dutch Mannlicher, and reform either .303 British or .30-40 Krag brass for that rifle.

My favorite obsolete round is the .32 Remington, but I got lucky and bought several hundred pieces worth of new, unfired .32 Remington brass in an estate sale. So I'm set for a lifetime with that particular cartridge.

how about a 14-223? saw one of those at a gunshow recently, a needle flying at over 4000 fps. Also say a Israeli ar combat variant of the m1 carbine, firing a 36 grn carbine round necked down to 20 cal, if I remember right. also a speed demon.

    gibbs cartriges

I have a 30 gibbs. It's a blown out short neck '06. A 300 WSM can do anything my gibbs can but I have more fun making ammo for my gibbs (a little HP 38, a scoop of malto meal, bit O wax, bang new case).

    What is this?

"Israeli ar combat variant of the m1 carbine, firing a 36 grn carbine round necked down to 20 cal"

Do you mean a .22 Johnson Spitfire? Not really military or Israeli.

    How about:
    6.5x58 Portuguese Mauser
    6.5 Daudeteau
    8mm Lebel
    7.35 Italian
    8x63 Swedish
    7.92 Kurz
    8mm Breda
    etc...
