It happened.... she took one of MY guns and out shot me. She shot my S&W 581 .357 and I was mounted up on my glock. I'm so proud!

I will now be buying her a Pink Lady for her victory!

If she only wants pink grips on a revolver, buy one that has aftermarket grips in pink available.

Happens all of the time in my neighborhood. One or two of the local wives can out-shoot most of the guys on a regular basis.

(& we're all happy to have them shoot with us.)

Yes, be proud. It is good to know that your spouse will have your back and be capable of doing so, or vice versa.

thats some real good shooting. What kinda gun is that?

I wish I would have took some pictures of my wifes target. We were shooting a sillhouette with a 2 1/2" shoot N C target in the middle at 18 yds. She was putting 3 out of 6 in the shoot N C, and nibbling around the edges with the other 3 about every time. I was impressed.

Happened to me once so far, been practicing more since. My wife of course had told everyone either of us know before we even made it home.

At least you posted "out shot" instead of just shot.........

Don't feel bad...My wife shoots better than me with her 38 and sometimes my 45.....Good reason to behave, ain't it?

The pistol is a .32 cal Black Powder pistol. All our shooting is one hand
unsported. We have 25 50 and 100 yd 10 shot matches. The pistol is
about 20 years old. It is a "Cimarron Lightning"

Females, with decent instruction, generally do pretty good against males.

When I taught my (future) Wife to shoot I told her, if she ever beat me in shooting contest I would give her the gun she used and I'd have a trophy made for her.

I was very proud the day I gave her that gun and trophy.:)

yeah now I gotta buy mine a "trophy" ....

Oh yeah guys she settled on a pink lady.

I gave her the charter arms vs. smith type of talk but she has her mind made up.

Looks mean alot to a woman I guess...... I'm gonna feel real bad when she beats me with a charter!!

Doesn't it make you proud? I know when my first wife scored high score in our Concealed Handgun Class I was so proud I almost popped a button. Fortunately, I was 2nd only 2 points down from her so she couldn't brag to much, but I was very proud.

My wife and I were taking our safety class prior to getting our concealed handgun permits. During the shooting portion, the range officer says over my shoulder "you know your wife is out shooting you". So that was the day I found out I was married to "Annie Oakley"! I have to practice about twice as much as her to barely keep up with her accuracy! It doesn't matter whether she's shooting her Beretta Cheetah or my 92FS, she's the "Top Gun"!

Yeah I'm afraid to let my wife shoot my ccw....... That would be real bad, beat with your own carry gun.

But yeah I'm tickled to death for her. She is starting to share my passion, it can't get much better.

Both times I've tried to teach my wife how to shoot was not pretty! She fired a couple rounds and one went down her shirt, she turned, pointed the loaded, cocked pistol at me and say" I'm threw!" I have'nt let her near a gun since.

My girlfriend keeps surprising me. When we first met, I thought she was just completely stuck on herself because of her apparent habit of ignoring me and the fact that she is ridiculously gorgeous. Turns out that she is just very, very shy.

Well, a few months back I decided to take her shooting. After a brief safety training session and some tailgate drawings on an ammo box explaining sight pictures, she fired her first rifle. She proceeded to prove to be deadly accurate with a marlin 60 using iron sights out past 40-50 yards. She gets a real quick out of beating me when we shoot the race trees. I admit to letting her win a couple at first, but combine confidence with accuracy and she proceeded to open a can of butt whippin on me. By the end of the day, she was out shooting me on my own AR that I had just built and taken out to fire for the first time.

Now she wants her own ar and “any of those 22’s with those thumb-hole stocks we looked it.”

Luckily, she is still getting better and handguns. For the time being, I can still out-shoot her with something. Doesn't bother me that she out-shoots me, I'm just glad she gets involved and is a firm 2a supporter. My last girlfriend was a bit of an anti which made life complicated for this ccw'er.
