    Hello All,
I'm new to THR and I'm going to hunt wild turkey this year in the fall. I'm wondering where the best shoot placement for a .36 cal. black powder long rifle is. Also would appreciate any infromation on loads if possible.

I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you!!!

Wing butts are a much larger target and just as effective as a head shot.

Wild Turkey is for drinking. But if you HAVE to shoot 'em I'd say buy a turkey shotgun target -- they have the critical areas lined in red I believe so you can "see" if you'd have killed it.

By the way, the 101 proof is about as good as the regular Wild Turkey -- good for shootin' for sure.
