I am just wondering since the .45 GAP can be loaded in to guns that have the same frame size as 9 mm Luger and .40 S&W does anyone think that Kahr would chamber any of their existing guns for this cartridge and if they did would you buy it.

Problem with the .45GAP is that its the same diameter as .45acp so for a CCW gun you don't gain much.

I'd rather see Kahr build a 10mm ... think about this (then get an icepack for your wrist) Kahr PM10. :what:

No, i dont think they will...they dont have a history of creating firearms for cult calibers. just main stream 9 and 40.

Ironic, ain't it. ;)

As others have said, the 45GAP is still the same diameter as the 45ACP, just shorter. The Kahrs are single stack so it would be all but impossible to make a Kahr in 45GAP with the exact same size grip as the current P and K series. The Glocks are a double stack so they just packed fewer rounds into the same size grip as the 17/22 with the G37... Can't do the same with a Kahr.

I do, however, wonder what kahr could do with 380. bet it would be a small, light weight piece, yet still overengineered for the caliber, unlike the p3at.

What I'd ACTUALLY like to see Kahr come out with is an all-steel K45, with the grip frame SLIGHTLY up-sized for .45ACP, that would be about the size of a Colt Defender or Officer's Model 1911 and that would feed from single-stack 1911 mags.

And about 3-4 years later, of course, they could make a polymer-frame P45. And of course, the usual K45 Covert, MK45, etc. variations on the theme.

Now THAT, brothers and sisters, would be the bee's knees...can I get an "AMEN?"

Kahr is releasing a .45 ACP late this year. It will be seen at next year's SHOT Show. I got this info straight from the horse's mouth

I asked, but there isn't even a prototype yet so I'm not sure whether a polymer or steel version is going to be released first. I'm looking forward to a Kahr .45 :D (no, not the 1911 or Tommy guns:neener: )

All stainless comes first

You got the T9, then the TP9 later. Watch for the TP40 next. I already own the T40 (and the T9, now on consignment).

I think a Kahr .45 ACP would likely be a 4" barrel with 6+1 at best. I'll bet money that it will be a T45. Don't look for a total departure from the Kahr concept, i.e concealment of serious caliber, DAO pistols.
