I know they have changed the frame on the new Vaquero, but will they ever bring the old version back and make another 44 mag Vaquero? I sure would like to have one...

Very unlikely. I've wanted one as well.

You can still find used ones in great condition if you keep your eye on Gunbroker. They are hardy guns and built to last. I wouldn't hesitate on buying a used one at all, and it's on my "someday" list.

If it's any consolation, I'm quite content with the .44 special New Vaquero.

Never can tell. Ruger has done several cleanup runs of large frame Vaqueros since discontinuing them in 2005. Shouldn't be too difficult to obtain one on the used market though.

I know where there is a blue and case hardened 7 1/2" barreled one sitting in a local store if you want to call them about it?

Ruger has done several runs of these. I suspect they will keep doing so.

They will keep doing limited "clean-up" runs of large frame Vaqueros only until they run out of frames. These have been out of the catalog since 2005.
