I wanted one of these years ago, and didn't have the $$ back then. I happened to have some cash recently for a gun purchase, and found a nice used example for sale at a good price.
Got a chance to shoot it Thursday night and it ran like a champ. No issues at all, and very accurate. I actually like the grip shape and the reloads were quicker due to the magazine taper and the nicely flared grip (kinda like a built-in magwell)
I am looking for some accessories and parts though -- I suppose I should call Wilson and see what they have. The magazine release spring is not 1911 standard, and neither is the mainspring. I would just like to have a couple of spares on hand.
Also looking for magazine pouches. I have a Safariland leather model for Glock that works OK, but I had to make a little spacer for it to not grip the mags quite so tight. Anyone have some advice on good mag pouches?
And for the record, this isn't my only 1911, but it is my first Wilson, and I am delighted with this purchase.
